Believe me, I know. I understand. I even agree. But surely you must see the necessity of the double standard? Think about it: You have the ability to understand those of lesser intellect/age/ability, but they do not always have the ability to understand you. So, in order to fashion the most cohesive communication, the two parties need to find communal ground.

Now, nobody is asking you to be condescending - you don't have to lower your english abilities to talk to people less educated than you. All you have to do, with the 'wide' vocabulary that you have, is to find a more efficient way of explaining something - a way that will be understood by more people. THIS is good use of the english language, not speaking in academic terms regardless of whether the situation calls for it.

You should know better than to demonise people for getting frustrated when they feel they're being patronised.

And there's no need to play the victim either - you give as good as you get. I know what you did wasn't necessarily intentional, but that shouldn't stop you from questioning your rational', regardless of what conclusion you may come to.

I do see the necessity of the double-standard. That doesn't mean that I neccesarily support it. I agree that communication should be prized over simple, 'speak' (for lack of better terms). However, I also believe that use in a general context will prove a progressive step toward better grammar/spelling. Believe it or not, I used to type and speak as many do on the interweb. However, through a few of the communities I was involved with, it was stressed to use propper english, and slowly (in a attempt to become a norm in the community) began to type better. Using periods, then capitals, then other grammar, untill I am where I am now. As far as the vocabulary, that built, as more specific means of explanation were required to convey my thoughts.

I believed that what I had typed, the words I had used, were quite understandable via context, if not. There are always ways to look it up (although I realize that not even a equal majority would). However, I still believe, that if they won't cater at least a little to my quirks, then I should not have to be held to theirs either. Now, I realize that the point may come up "Well, if you are intelligent, or wise, why would you act in such an ignorant way?"

I just assume that, even if someone doesn't type the way I do, doesn't use the language I do...That they at least understand it. If they don't, fine, I will reiterate. Mostly they do, though, just like I understand theirs...So it really isn't a big deal.

I don't wish to play the game, of Defendant nor Prosecutor. I only wish to clerify my personal position. Which, will require a bit of both, I will not stand to be prosecuted, and I try not to prosecute. Although anyone can be drug into it. I appreciate the dialog here though.

Indeed High Truth, I appreciate it too. Nicely made points by the way.

(the temptation to end on 'btw' then was so tempting:)

The good: Epic battles. I wanna feel like I did on Final Run

The bad: Invisible walls and tight, linear levels. Give us some breathing space.

The ugly: Dual weilding. I don't care what others think - it sucks. IMHO :)

I agree that the John Woo thing was cool, but this isn't stranglehold. I want a big gun with a heavy feel and some loud bullets to go with. Give me the Assault Rifle over twin SMG's any day of the week.

The good: Halo 3

The bad: Everyone who complains about Halo 3

The ugly: The state of my hands after the first 36 hours straight of Halo 3 multiplayer.
I call that gamer's hands. It is where your hands are almost permanently fixed in the shape of the XBOX controller. You guys know what I'm talking about, happens to me all the time.

The Good: A Co-Op mode that allows you to play (perhaps?) as 4 Spartans, doing separate mission that somewhat coincide with the campaign, meeting at crucial points. I would love Bungie, and Halo 3 forever.

The Bad: No online Co-Op mode of ANY sort. I'd even love to see some kind of co-op mode that places you and a few teammates defending a base against unlimited enemies.

The Ugly: A game that feels as linear as Halo 2. I want epic battles, a sense of freedom, and a real feeling of desperation and a need to survive.

The good: That the flood die without everyone on earth dieing with them. My idea: There are only 6 of the 7 halo's left its posible...hoever unlickly that earth just might be out of the halos firing range tseeing that there are 25,000 square lightyears of the galexy that wont be toched by the explosion. (sadly if the explosion does miss us we would have a little problem with gamma rays bombarding earth.)

The bad: Sgt. Johnston dies...he's the collest character.

The Ugly:This flood in HD is really gonna scar the s**t out of me
