Is the ~20% XP bonus worth the trade off?

It seems one would nearly recoup their relative losses by having a useful ability in that slot.. not to mention a better playing experience.

So flood, does this make sense to you, is it the case if you have unlocked it?

True dat.

Earning 500EXP is -blam!- useless in Matchmaking. Better off with something that actually helps with combat.

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

I use it in every gametype that is not Slayer. In Infinity Slayer games I use Requisition (switching ordnance). I'll probably start using Stability once I max out Rogue, though.

It's staying on my Spartan Ops class that's for sure.

This. You can get 1k extra XP in spartan ops or 500xp in MM.

If you intend to complete all specializations then it is worth it.
