well, if you can see how many people are on, ten you know what forum is most active. that way you can choose th best forums to post in and stuff.

Most active: Halo 3 forum. There, no activity counter required.

what if one day the Halo 3 froum is inactive? you would have no idea that it was inactive until you sat there wasting a lot of time and finally after about an hour of hardly any posting, you would realize that it is inactive. but with the counter, you can tell if it isn't instantly. and if it is active, then you can know that you should start posting there.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

1) Halo 3 forum inactive? ...not going to happen.

2)Conversations on a forum don't have to be real-time. You can say what you want to say, and wait for someone to respond whenever they are on.

Skillet was here and referred to himself in the third person.

No. I don't see any way that it would help...most members of Bungie already know which forums are active and inactive. Also...spammers would know how many people are in that forum so that they could spam it...and the most people would see it.

Spammers would use that to see if the mods aren't on.

So no.

? He didn't say tell who is on he said tell how many people are on. And banning a few guys who spam isn't that big of a deal. Just because it gives people a chance to get banned doesn't mean they can't do it.

that can all change. sometimes a forum can become inactive for a while, and you would have no idea. but still, alll forums become active at times, with the counter, it would tell you if the forum is active and the sometimes when not very many peopple are on there.

what would also help is that if you log on one day, then you can see if you are going to stay in an active forum, or if you are going to end up going to an inactive forum. helps keep your eyes open for inactive places.

Or how many of the many members out there are online. Or maybe a topic finder. or you can selct a user and see how many tpoics he/she's posted, and where they are.
