Subject: TES V: Skyrim

Industrial Strength , No Brain Required.

Hey, I wanna give it a shot. Actually I'm searching for a longlife RPG game, such as Fallout 3, where I spent 100h on it.

Never played TES series before and never played a medevial-style game too, so I wont be disappointed, maybe.

So Flood, should I take it ?

NotaBene: Sorry for my english.

I like to play Reach for fun. I hate MLG, campers, armor lock, and team killers because they ruin that fun. Deal with it.

Sure.

Yes. It's addicting as hell. A tad slow to really get started, but extremely fun when you get higher level stuff and start fighting bigger and tougher opponents.

Its worth a shot. You can get it for $30-$40 online.

Even though the graphics are a little outdated now, Oblivion (TES:IV) was better.

EDIT: And really cheap!

Really? I usually find it to be the most fun at the beginning, when everything is new and fresh.

YES. Amazing game.

If you want a full-on RPG, skip it. Skyrim is large, but it has little depth. It's incredibly dumbed down compared to the previous TES games, and no matter how you set up your character in the beginning, it doesn't make a difference in the end. Level scaling is pants-on-head retarded, and most of the dungeons and caves are filled with nothing but Draugr.

If you just want a action game with RPG elements, then it's definitely good though.

Industrial Strength , No Brain Required.

And is the gameplay based on short-range combat ?

Not even sort of. Skyrim was a massive improvement to the series in the area that counts most: gameplay. Oblivion was probably the dullest most stale game I've ever played. It all felt terrible.

There's swords, archery, and ranged magic, so kind of.

Most weapons are close-range, but combat magic is mostly long range. And there are bows and, if you have Dawnguard, crossbows.

Thanks guys, I think I'm gonna use crossbows.

I prefer long range weapons, since there is no shotguns in this game...

Get it for the PC if you can. It's infinitely better than the console version (not that I have anything against consoles).

Call me Stu

You should get Far Cry 3 while you are at it.

Played it for 40+ hours (Around a week) never touched it since.

What a waste....

Get it for the PC.

Seriously, mods make the game glorious, more so than it already is.

>Already finished Far Cry 3.

-blam!- was under what I expected, but still the best game from 2012 IMO.

This. I did the main and side quest, lvl 53 now, and bored, so I made a new character.

This times 10 billion.

With the PC version you can tailor the game to any sort of character you want, and massively expand the game.

“Dear humanity, we regret being alien bastards. We regret coming to Earth. And we most definitely regret that the corps just blew up our raggedy ass fleet!” -Sgt. Johnson

If you're willing to spend an extra $40 on the DLC, you really need to get it. If you don't want to get DLC though, I would definitely still recommend it. I just think the DLC adds much more playing time.

Yes! Fun game that's very worth it.
