Subject: The Hobbit is a bad movie aimed at 10 year olds

Fair play

I just watched it.

Being a huge LOTR fan, I can't even take this generic rotten milk seriously. Especially with it's childish tone.

I'll have a detailed review up on the Flood tomorrow.

What's your general opinion of the Hobbit?

yeah no...

1.) "Crack In Time" - Louder Production Music
2.) "Agressive Sucks" - Moss Landing
3.) Custom Version of "Meet Oscar" - Louder Productions Music
4.) "Behind You Rise" - Distortion Music
5.) "Aurora" - Mark Petrie
6.) "Surge Down - Audio Machine

I completely agree, Hobbit's script is so unrealistic.I mean come on, I thought they already destroyed the ring? Now it's magically back and Gollum is freestyling with Frodo's brother? And all the dwarfs my god, is this Snow White and the Ring? Plot holes everywhere.

The part where Bilbo found the ring was inaccurate.

I know right?

I did enjoy the visuals at the part where Solid Snake and Samus skyidived from the Millenium Falcon and where Gandalf rescued them.

Halo 18 was a good movie.

  • 12.15.2012 4:55 PM PDT

Haven't you read the book OP? The Hobbit book is much more lighter and childish than the LOTR books.

I thought the Hobbit movie was really good.

This so much. The movie about the soccer player and his lover was so much better than this steaming pile of a train wreckage "Hobbit" movie.

I haven't read the Book, but I have seen every LOTR movie several times over the years.

In the second LOTR, Bilbo is shown differently when he found the ring.

If you'd read the books, you'd know that the LOTR movies differ very much so than the books.

The Hobbit takes place before LOTR, and it follows Bilbo Baggins (Frodo's uncle) when he was young. Gollum had the ring at that time before Biblo took it from Gollum.

How did you not know that?

"It is the cruelest fate, to have written words that meant well and see them made wicked and unwise. What was meant to encourage life, used instead to justify taking it."

If you actually read the books, you'd expect a lighter tone from The Hobbit. The movie was very well done, and it deserves better than its Rotten Tomatoes rating.

And so God called Moses to come forth but he came fifth and was therefore disqualified.

The tide is turning, brothers! Let us take our kingdom back!

Spoilers:

The only thing that slightly gave me bad vibes is how the Pale Orc is still alive and has a metal claw. Other than that, I loved it and would gladly watch again.

No worries. Just expect it to be of a lighter tone...like it is in the book.
