Talking about Sweden is an ultrabannable offense.

Too bad being completely and utterly wrong isn't a bannable offense.

The Gun control is meant to prevent these massacres, yet it isn't. That, logically, means you need to have better gun control, not less.

Australia hasn't had a massacre since we put all these restrictions on weapons. It's been sixteen years.

Yet I get told all the time that restricting weapons in Australia is the direct cause for rising crime levels. The direct and only cause for the current increase in robbery and theft. No, current economic crisis isn't the cause, and no, lack of jobs are not the cause (as I'm told by Right-wing Americans). Australia is more crime ridden than America, as I've been told by right-wing Americans every time I get into this discussion.

Of course, there are two cities in America that documented decreased crime after gun laws were slackened. Therefore, it applies to every location on Earth, obviously! Australia is so much worse off with their no guns, it's so dangerous there! More people die from shootings in Australia because they don't have guns in Australia! It's the exact same in the UK! D.C. and Chicago are the exact same as every city on Earth, so if every city on Earth let everyone have guns, every city on Earth would be peaceful! Australians don't know anything about their own country because I'm a right-wing hick from America!

Yes absolutely. So what? They created that back when there was no law enforcement and bears were very prominent. Now people are beginning to kill each other with their high tech guns, and it's time we start to change. It's been 300 years. Things change.

I don't want to start another account for a digital number that has no true value in ten years.

I don't care to link, but someone who has been studying firearm related incidents like this claims that ever since 1966 when that guy climbed the tower and killed a bunch of people at the University of Texas, there has been no real increase in these crimes. It's just we perceive it with the few in recent memory.

Here we sit, glasses on our noses, inhalers in our pockets, braces on our teeth, and we say "Behold the perfect ORDER of it all!""

You can't end gun possession in America. To do so would be to go to individual houses and take their guns off them.

How would you do that? Two ways?

A) Look at registered Gun owners, go to their address and take it away from them. What about those who obtained theirs illegally?

B) Conduct a very thorough search of every single house in America. A blatant invasion of privacy.

And it would be incredibly expensive and time consuming.

OP, you do realize the shooter was aware that the school was a "gun-free zone," right? If there weren't gun restrictions already, maybe schools could have halfway decent security guards who could actually defend themselves in a scenario like that.

Just stop gun purchases now. Within 70 years, it'll be all gone, unless gramps passes it down.

I'm sorry? Your school has armed police patrolling the corridors? Buddy, not everybody has as luxurious schools as you.

no, the second amendment is there to protect the first amendment. It is also there to defend the people from a tyrant government. While here in America that may not happen in todays world or later on, the risk is always there.

Look at Egypt now, they replaced their government with a democracy that was supposed to protect the people, but now the person who they elected is now a tyrant.

and nothing is going to happen, if they try to ban guns then there will be an uproar about it. Look at what happened when they tried to ban beer!

The fact that schools even need security guards in the first place is very, very alarming and indicative of a problem.

Alrighty. Don't pull a Donald Trump and label Obama a tyrant.
-_- Our voting system, to an extent, is fine. Americans won't elect a tyrant, and, with America being very close to its military, it would be easy to overthrow a corrupt president through either impeachment or our military. In movies, the police are the bad guys, and the military has no soul. In America, those soldiers aren't just soldiers, they're husbands, wives, grandparents, cousins, ... They're part of us. They won't kill Americans, and they certainly won't live with a tyrant.

That would only take away guns from those who have obtained it legally. That way literally only criminals would have the guns.

Guess what, wildlife is still a problem for those of us in the country, traps work but when you need to kill an animal "right now" you need a gun.

Things have changed, there are now a lot more people here who don't value human life, and instead of working out their issues they cast the blame on literally anything they can.

Just so you know, he didn't do anything. He confronted him, but he didn't shoot. -____- How the hell are you going to post something in defense of guns, and then not even read the article. The offender shouldn't even have a gun anyway. Just sayin'.

You're right, because an average citizen will really be able to stand against the United States military. Assuming that the military will turn on their own people.

If only criminals had guns, wouldn't it be far easier to identify who is a criminal and who is not?
