Bloom.

There was a lot more to it than "just pace your shots". Sadly, so many idiots don't understand how broken it was.

You were only supposed to pace your shots for longer range battles, the people who paced their shots even in mid to close range battles were just clueless.

Wow, more people hate Reach than I thought. It wasn't that bad, guys...

It almost single-handedly killed off the competitive community.

Questions lead to learning, learning leads to kowledge, knowledge leads to understanding, understanding leads to peace.

"I would kill to get a killionaire... 10 times... digitally."

Both DMR's were good. It's just a bunch of people who didn't like seeing the BR go(Reach)/Get trounced by the DMR.(4) People are just hyper critical because it wasn't/isn't their favored weapon.

If I ever get AIDS, I'm going to sleep with another AIDS person so my AIDS cancel each other out, or I'm going to make the AIDS I already have worse.

Halo 4's DMR breaks the sandbox so I choose that.

They're all okay.

You do realize hundreds of hours of design and programming went into these things so you could have a couple minutes of enjoyment right? just for you. just so you could have fun. why turn around and try to criticizes the smallest things?

I haven't had enough hands on time with Halo 4's Multiplayer, but a feature which makes your weapons random and inconsistant is way worse than a sandbox potentially dominated by a single medium ranged weapon.

Such nonsense.

Complaining about -blam!- bloom is dumb in my opinion. Sorry.

The Halo 4 DMR just needs a RoF decrease really. Its minor bloom is alright I guess. But it's basically the only weapon you'll ever need apart from on maybe Adrift.

Bloom kind of worked for it's purpose in Reach, making the DMR less powerful at longer range, but the randomness kinda makes you feel cheated out of kills if the enemy just fires faster than you and gets lucky.

To be honest, I don't prefer either. The DMR in both Reach and Halo 4 is more of an all-round weapon than the BR was in H3.

Can BR Slayer come back to Halo 4, please :(

Deal with it.

Neither, I can still hit people. Don't know what's wrong with you guys.

The Halo 4 DMR is fine (I usually prefer the BR over it anyway), and the bloom on the Reach DMR never bothered me to any significant degree.

Ah yes, the classic "This feature is perfect, clearly you just suck at the game."

Try to be a bit more creative.

But riddle me this Plain Ben.

What's the difference between a DMR with Bloom and a Bloomless DMR with a capped rate of fire at long range?

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

I rather take Reach bloom than the inconsistent BR from Halo 3.

Reach bloom is worst than the Halo 4 DMR but Halo 4 just sucks in general so I prefer Reach.

"There's a very fine line between not listening, and not caring. I'd like to think that I walk that line every day."

Well, I don't mind either -- I simply don't like Halo 4 all that much.

I actually liked the reticle bloom in Reach. I rarely felt that luck was involved in a death of mine during a precision weapon fight. Armor abilities irritated me more.

I hate all weapons in Halo 4 really. All assault rifles should be mid range effective or below, Snipers should be the only across the map weapon, and pistols should be shield weakening/health finishing weapons.

Nothing, but at mid and close range it's going to make all the difference. The DMR is no longer an all-rounder weapon as that slower RoF's going to get beat by a BR mid-close range.

Nothing
So if there's no difference, how does Bloom make the DMR less powerful at longer range? ;)

From how I see it, Bloom in Reach only served to make close to medium range DMR fights inconsistant and frustrating.
