They have to take risks or it will get boring

So why do people keep playing Final Fantasy?

It shows you how ignorant the masses can be.

FF in my opinion was lame and boring nothing original except maybe the chcocobop racing or the blitz ball and from what I heard that was stupid as well, Advent children was the only thing good ever to come from that series.

Anyway enough on that tangent.

Please tell me the diffrence in FF7 and FF10 expect new characters/story and graphic.

You can't compare a game like FF1 and FF10,with FF1 and nes they was restrained like hell,to make a lot of stuff.
That they could do later.
However squad tactic could be made even with a xbox ffs,and flying a "pelican".

First of all im a Huge FF fan been playing since FF4-FF10.

I know what makes FF fun,its the story/characters ,not the battle system.
You have one of the most ignorant post i ever seen.
You call FF crap, then you think a movie based by the end off FF7 was good?

And,no one force you to play blitz ball or Chocobo racing, its a mini game.

having played both halo 1 and halo 2, halo 1 had open envrionments and everything but a lot of the time they seemed empty to me. there just weren't enough enemies. in halo 2 the environments were closed and had a good amount of enemies. I would like to see some large environments like from halo 1, just with more enemies, making some huge battles, and some smaller ones like in halo 2. that would put a perfect mixture to it.

I apologize its just I have such a distaste for that series. But lets not have our diferences on that idea interefere with the game at hand.

(P.S. The movie was awesome! lol)

Anyway lets get back on topic and forget opinions on the prior argument.

Besides epic battles I would like to fight more dangerous enemies. I feel kinda bad killing grunts. I want to fight something that is terrifying, something that makes my knuckles when I go up against one.

Hmmm hunter/flood combo.... hunters are symbiotic creatures the flood is another parasite. What creature of mass destruction would be formed when combining those two enemies?

Speaking of hunters Their armor is practically invincible.... if I was them I would cover up the joint openings with something. They would be a hard foe to conquer.

I would like to fight something that could possibly take out vehicles like a warthog or a ghost could be damaged in its clutches. Something big and alien.... ^_^

*update idea*

Would a mech type vehicle interest any one, such as like the yellow heavy loader from the aliens movie oufitted with armanants and ghost cumpling claw abilities be pushing it? ^_^

Thats going of the deep end I know....

I think the game would be a lot more interesting if there were full-scale battles, I remember playing Halo and Halo 2 and it would just mini battles with a couple of covenants scattered all over the map. I would actually like to see a war going on with bigger numbers on each side.

Hell yea that would be awsome, would give a more interesting challenge and preserve playback , you could play it over and over and it would be diffrent everytime
Posted by: Butler47
I was just wondering if were going to actually have full scale battles in Halo 3?

I'll explain myself further. Although Halo 2 was great, theres no contesting that, I simply felt the battles didn't satisfy my need for playing an actual war against the covenant. Sure we get teamed up with a few Marines and go from point a to point b and then it ends. I guess I kinda hopeing for WWII style where theres hundreds of planes flying over head, thousands of troops storming below, and its outright chaos and confusion. Bullets are whizzing by, and theres explosions left and right.

Normally we see like one scorpion tank, I wanna see like a batallion of like 7 trying to take out a regiment of Wraiths. Banshees flying overhead intercepting Human Longswords in an ariel dog fight of banshee bombs and missiles. And below hundreds of marines charge head first towards a mass of Covenant forces, plasma rifles and sticky bombs ablazing.

Well I guess thats my simple rant and idea suggestion.

I totally agree, it would preserve playback value, make it challenging everytime, can you imagine Ledgendary on that lol WOOO

Just think of it as the last stand for the human race. Every human force at one spot defending its last post and your right in the middle. As banshi's and (hopefully sometype of new human aircraft that could compare to it) fly over head duking it out while each has their own orders 2 stretegicaly take out certain areas. Then you have the warthogs and ghost's battling non-stop with grenades flying everywhere and vehicles exploding and debri flying. just total choas while at the same time u have the ground combat in which i join in on where u the normal marines that are just defending, while u and the tactical marines(navy seal type deal) exucting the orders given from the general in control to tactically take out re-arming areas for the covenant and scarabs that are leveling marine forces in oyur area.

So in this case u have the total choas and mass destruction but at the same time amzing AI tactics and strategy. in my opinion the perfect futureistic WWIII

I think it should start out with like a D-day invasion with tones of chaios explosionns everywhere hundreds of marines like the poster guy said. and the invasion should be the first level and maybe part of the second too. The purpose of the invasion should be to retake new mombosa from the covanent. After that u go through other huge battles throughout the game.

I totally agree with you. Ive always felt that the battles were not large scale enough.

It would be wicked having like 250 allies and enemies all killing each other with tanks blowing up building with enemies, and bombardments from arial vehicals, and wisking around with a worthog dodging explosives and gun fire. And then you see a bomb dropping, so you go diving out of your vehicle when it explodes, with shrapenal picking people in the heads. Invading an enemy controlled building with a group of 20, and winning with 5. And you would be diving off your couch because of the realistic sounds of bullets, dirt, and metal flying by your ears. And the high shreeks of missles and you as a Spartan running full speed through the battle front and kicking aliens right in the gut. And so on =).

I may actually shed a tear if i see something along the following guidelines occur....

We open into the scene presented to us in the halo 3 trailor, we all have fond memories of the anticipation leading up to this moment, we see the MC gaze out and see the massive fleet of covie ships knowing there is no way he can kill them all, then something different happens instead of the massive forerunner construct activating out vision is diverted to the far right, here we see multiple very large warp holes opening, from them emerge a massive fleet (almost rivalling the excavation force we have seen) all piloted by the vengefull elites seeking to kill their former comrades (even if the elites are not fighting with the humans they are most definitely fighting against the brutes and etc, for both revenge and to stop the halos). In the midst of what could become both a ship to ship and massive ground based conflict I'm sure the MC could get caught up in a massive tank engagement and find himself fighting inbetween (or with one side) two of the most powerful armadas ever known.

Or better yet with the flood in control of high charity we may very well see flood infected vessels swrming in combat (note that if the flood really infected and took control of vessel do you think they would merely put an officer in the control room, no. They would infect that thing through and through and probably have it held together by massive flood sludge or such. No think of how dificult a ship would be to destroy if it was being repaired constantly by a massive flood form that also made most of the ship's vital regions not so vulnerable. That could definitely make for an interesting space combat.

I totally agrree with you...i wouldnt want that throughout the whole game but definaly in the game....halo 2's campagne (whoever its spelt) was garbage it started off good but then it was more of a chore to play...but i still beat it the day it came out.

Dark Jester 86 is the Gamer tag.

I would enjoy huge battles. I'd enjoy them if it was me and all the other Spartans versing the remainder of the Covenant. That would be fun.

That would be so awesome... They should instead of making the game like that, create a special mode just for battles like WW 2. It should be called Warzone Mode. That would be sweet.

The closest that I have come to full scale war on halo is in halo ce on Aotcr when you find the scorpion tank and the second group of marines. My friend and i played it on co-op carefully preserving the lives of our marines so that we had an entire tank load, a full warthog and two ghosts. Charged around the corner into the two wraiths, the ghosts, the footies it was glorious.

Tha battle for newmombasa in h2 was almost what we are looking for but it was too scripted, id rather just have sarge say, go get em, the city is you oyster and leacve it at that, with warthogs and tanks and banshees flying around with foot battles, it should be random and not on rails.

Yeah, there should be a level in Halo 3 that's just like the city level in Conflict: Desert Storm where you basically have to clear the city out of all the Covenant in it. It should be like a large-scale allied assault on a city and help from marines and such should depend on where you go and how you clear the city. I definetly want that feeling of a large/epic/grand battle going on in a level.

Like in the Halo 2 trailer? Due to that we know that Bungie has teh capability to make awesome war scenes, but whether they do is up to them. The fact that there are abotu 30 huge COvenant ships as well as many banshees being rendered in the teaser for Halo 3 tells us that the 360 would be able to push huge battles even with the high level of detail, but its ultimately Bungie who has to implement it.

The 360 could definately handlebig battles.

I think I remember in that Kameo game theres a video for it on ign that she goes through this big huge batttle the screen is basically filled up with independent AI enemies all interacting etc and so forth.

I have blind faith and I know and hope and pray and sacrifice to the Bungie gods lol that they will deliver what we want.
