I choose to remember his name.

The sad, lonely loser who took his life yesterday isn't worth remembering. Except as a criminal, a small minded petulant loser that deserves nothing but to be forgotten.

I choose one victim to represent the rest.

Do the world a favor. Pick one victim and remember their name. Have them stand, in your mind, for all the names you would like to remember. Then promise that you will never utter their murderer's name ever again.

Discuss what you will do, in your own way, to remember the victims and do what you can to prevent this from happening again.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

I'm not sure if this picture is real or fake, but it's extremely sad, regardless.
I'll do some research on it now.

Edit: There doesn't appear to be anyone called Brian on the list of victims.

She lied to the shooter about where she hid her students. She saved over 20 lives.

I've got a fan!

I don't even know the killer's name, just that he was a scrawny little guy. I know everyone is rightly angry at him, but I consider his death to be tragic as well.

Two makes there more than speakers.

I'm not good with names so trying to remember one would make my head hurt (not really hurt but you know).
But the Teacher who hid the kids in the closet and told the shooter that they were in the gym stuck out to me. Not her name, but what she did. (Jessica, was it?)

I also don't know the shooters name if that helps. :/

Guns aren't as accessible in Israel as they're in the US, so the chance of a school shooting is pretty much low.
Plus, I think there supposed to be atleast an armed guard in every school gate and such.

Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

I know. That's why I looked into it, I tend to do research on things like that before I claim they're true.

Wow this is stupid. Nobody ever cares until they are forced to care. Why do none of you care about the kids gunned down in other countries every damn day? Yes this was a tragic event but you only care because you're being told to care. Just like the teen suicides they decide are newsworthy well countless others get ignored.

Or... I could continue not knowing the murderer's name, and continue keeping all saddening thoughts out of my head, but still acknowledge that 29 innocent children and adults lost their lives to one person.

I like my plan, a lot less depressing.

Media is bias, no s.hit they're not going to make foreign tragedies as well known. I have empathy for all not just my own country.

GOAT

There's nothing wrong with caring when being told to care.

Sure, it may make a sheep out of someone, but it's better than not caring at all. It's easier to choose one person or event as a figurehead for related events, rather than care about each event individually.

I wish he offed himself in his basement, instead of killing twenty, 5-7 year olds. I don't even want to know his name, if I ever hear it, I will forget it.

I'm with you, but you can only see where the light shines. I feel empathy for everyone around the world that has to go through things like this daily.

The difference? It isn't too common of an occurrence and we're close enough that we can help in some way.

I'm from CT, and I just became an uncle the day before the shooting. Hit me pretty hard when I heard the news about it.

I'll remember James Mattioli, his birthday was close to mine.

So go out and do something. You see people asking for justice for their loved ones with signs and stuff all the time. Go join them. You didn't know the person they lost. Get involved. Doing this (of all places on the Flood) gets nothing done and is absolutely pointless. You are not helping or making the world a better place. Not directed towards you just a general statement.
