I'm not sure if this thread is moddable, but what do you guys think?

imo It wouldn't be a huge deal since political trolls are significantly less of a problem than say /r/atheism kiddies who love to troll about religion, etc.

No, we don't want people going ape -blam!-

  • 12.16.2012 12:51 AM PDT

No, this place would be unusable every election.

Talking about Sweden is an ultrabannable offense.

Posted by: Achronos
Too bad being completely and utterly wrong isn't a bannable offense.

We talk about politics all the time.

The only politics that are banned here are the ones that always lead into flamewars.

REPUBLICANS > DEMOCRATS

NO DEMOCRATS > REPUBLICANS

-blam!- YOU

-blam!- YOU MORE

NO YOU

etc...

But if China starts stepping up operations in the Pacific, we can talk about that.

Bobcast is paid in MILF blind dates.

I was just thinking to myself, You know what this place needs? More flamewars.

  • 12.16.2012 12:53 AM PDT

GOAT

There are groups for that.

I don't want to see political threads here. Most people are one sided, and instead of actually arguing, just bash the reasoning behind any and all arguments.

  • 12.16.2012 12:53 AM PDT

People here can't handle opinions.

  • 12.16.2012 12:53 AM PDT

If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

Brighten your day with science.

Pretty much.

Flamewars bad mkay.

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

I think gun threads are more than enough, so no.

Circle Jerkin' I got my wiener workin'

Yes. I don't understand why we can't discuss politics or religion, or even drugs for that matter. They are all "off topic" after all. Instead we are limited to dumb cod vs___ and other stupid threads.

I guess mods like how terrible The Flood is with "babby's first off topic threads". If we could actually discuss everything off topic we could actually have some good threads and content.

I don't know if the Flood could handle religion.

Believe me, there are so many god awful religion topics and trolls on some other boards like this I visit that allow religious discussion that it makes me wish they'd just ban its discussion.

No because the Flood can barely keep it together for 2 minutes before all hell breaks loose. The ninjas have no desire to babysit such discussions and the staff simply don't want to deal with it.

But if China starts stepping up operations in the Pacific, we can talk about that.
That's different because it's a geopolitical event. It's still going to be allowed but kept a close eye on.

We can also discuss new laws and acts, systems of government, "Did you vote today?", and other stuff.

No political or religious discussions - probably one of the best rules on B.Net.

If we were allowed to talk about these things, the flood would become a place of fighting and butt-hurtness.

Nope, they lead to -blam!-storms and flame wars. Don't need anymore of that here.

We should be allowed to talk about anything.

  • 12.16.2012 10:33 AM PDT

The community here isn't mature enough to talk about politics or religion.

Plain and simple.
