I was wondering, if you apply for a group and they reject you, are you given any notification of rejection?

I tried to join a group a few days ago, and I haven't been accepted yet. Is there a way to tell if my request hasn't been processed yet, or if I was just rejected?

There isn't a notification for being rejected or stuck in membership queue purgatory, at least not currently. I'd just PM the admin and ask for clarification.

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

Doesn't the "join group" button disappear if you are in purgatory?

I still have the "join this group" button, so I guess I'm not lost in purgatory.

I think so.

No, you can keep on going through the process of joining/applying to the group even if you're in the queue (if that's what you're talking about).
