I was looking up PC's for gaming and I came across this:Link
Only look at the default Specs that are already selected, not the ones you can pick.

Vien (Sven) 'Quitonm
Species - Sangheili
Age - 19
Weight - 250lbs
Height - 6'6"
Eye Colour - Grey

You can find a better price if you get the parts separately.

Lol, overpriced CPU and a low end GPU.

It's like a Mac with those kind of Specs. You are better off building your own, that CPU in there is around $500 and the motherboard is almost $300-$400.

The GPU is around the $100 mark and good luck playing anything at 1080p at a decent frame rate with medium+ graphics.

Also the PSU is probably some cheap OEM crap and will probably not even give you the full 800w.

Go make your own. Cheaper and easier.

No, your best bet is to just build one. You'll save tons of money and get the best bang for your buck. Plus its a learning experience, and actually a lot easier than it may appear.

Build your own for basically half the price.

I figured that already, considering prefabricated PC's are normally insanely priced compared to building your own.

Any suggested sites I should go to to build my own?

  • 12.16.2012 2:55 PM PDT

I'll list some specs you should be looking at.

CPU: Intel i5
GPU: GTX 660 or 660ti for Nvidia, 7850/7870 for AMD
PSU: 600w Seasonic, Corsair, Antec, XFX branded
Case: Your choice
Motherboard: LGA 1155 Gigabyte, ASUS branded
RAM: 8GB(2x4GB) from G.Skill, Corsair, 1.5v 1600MHz
Keyboard/Mouse: Your Choice
DVD Drive: Your choice, LG is good
Monitor: 1080p 22"-24" is nice, ASUS, Viewsonic, Samsung
Storage: I recommend a 64GB to 128GB SSD for your OS installation and a 1TB to 2TB hard drive for store/games

Pretty much it. If you are in the U.S. I HIGHLY recommend Newegg.

Also you can use: http://pcpartpicker.com/

If you want me to do a quick build for you, I can.

Ok thanks. I knew about newegg already, but I'll use those specs and see what prices I can get.

I did a quick mock up for you, http://pcpartpicker.com/p/sOFv

It's all from Newegg, you can probably get some stuff cheaper from like Amazon or elsewhere. You can go lower on the motherboard if need be and I don't know if you need a copy of Windows 7. Just a quick mock up, nothing fancy but should get the job done nonetheless. I didn't add a case to it either since to me, cases are personal and you are going to have to work with it and look at it all day!

You can also get an aftermarket heatsink for your CPU, but only if you are going to overclock it. If you aren't going to overclock it, then you don't have to get one since it comes with a stock heatsink.

If you have anymore questions feel free to PM me or post here.

Nvidia 650?

NO. NO. NO

Math rules the world.

Very powerful for processing but the graphics are on the low side. I would get a different one for gaming.
