Have any connections ever been found to Clarke's works in earlier Bungie games? Although considering the number of books written by Arthur C. Clarke you could probably find some kind of connection most anything Sci Fi.

I'm sure he has quite a few fans in Bungie, anyway.

While there is a large hovering craft in Independence Day, that film doesn't have the same pithy backstory that is so important for finding, or manufacturing, obscure parallels to modern media.
