Subject: iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S III?

Hai =)

I have to choose between an iPhone 4s or a Samsung Galaxy s3. Which one should i get, and why?

Keep in mind, here are the main things I look for in a phone:

1. Fast
2. Visual voice mail
3. Easy apps
4. User friendly
5. Durability

I used to own an iphone 3gs and loved it, but playing around with the samsung at Best Buy has made me indecisive. o.O

The black wind begins to blow... Okay... give me your best shot... If you're prepared for the void!

I'd choose the S3 but it's too freaking big.

So, iPhone.

Covan was here, December 20th.

Come back later, after he's out of Parris Island.

I feel bad. The only things I look for in a phone are.

1. Calling
2. Texting
3. Internet

My phone is old as hell. I don't know anything about any of this 3g 4g 10g crap that I hear people talk about.

For what you are looking for, iPhone.

The SG3.

I have the Droid DNA, love the damn thing. Also because I'm a Android fanboy and know the real things between iOS, Android and Windows.

*Edit, nevermind, you want user friendly, I would recommend the iPhone.

Not that the SG3 isn't user friendly, but I'm guessing you want everything over simplistic, which the iPhone does phenomenally.

I got a 4S I like the simplicity and being able to automatically sync my music and notes and contacts between my iPhone, computer and iPad. But that's why I got it. And I'm pretty sure iOS devices have 3x more apps.

Strange. I thought the flood would troll about how android was better than an iphone.

But yeah - i thought the screen was kinda big too. Plus I usually take my phone snowboarding, and it worries me if i were to fall or something, the damn thing was crack in half or soemthing -.-.

About me: I am a vicious wolf of a man.

But really am sweet at heart. =)

Samsung Galaxy S3 beats the iPhone in every catagory OP. If youre looking for something smaller though, I just got an LG Lucid and i love it. Android 4 is amazing and it runs pretty much everything like a dream.

There is just something magical about leaning your head back, letting your eyes roll into the back of your head, and taking a piss while floating in the swimming pool.

HERE IS MY THOUGHT COMING FROM A IPHONE 4 user of 3 1/2 years.

GO ANDROID!

The Samsung Galaxy III is a fantastic phone. My father has it and it is amazing.

The iphone is nice too but I think the OS is lagging behind Android in many ways now with the biggest problem being multitasking.

It absolutely drove me mad to have to go into an app, come out, look up the one I want, go into that, come out scroll for the one I was in on the icon bar....STUPID!

The greatest mobile OS ever was Web OS. It was true multitasking BUT now that it is dead Android users have helped impliment a lot of what made WebOS so amazing.

That's another thing is the Apple control on the IOS. Android you can do whatever you want use whatever you want. It's open source.

Andorid FTW.

I find the Iphone to be more user friendly.

The Iphone 5 is more durable though.

"Spartans never die, if only that were true..."

Check out my friend's and I YouTube videos!

One of my better moments.

Here is my opinion. I went from a iPhone 4 to a Samsung Galaxy SIII and went back to my iPhone and am currently using my Galaxy.

As an iPhone user you become accustomed to having the phone fit in your hand and using the iPhone is very simple and battery life is pretty good.

Transition to the Galaxy was seriously a little overwhelming for me. It seems like an exaggeration but my thumbs were pretty sore for a couple days because the Galaxy is such a huge phone compared to the iPhone. The iPhone can almost fit inside the Galaxy's screen, not including the rest of the phone. The battery life is also terrible. It's a very hard transition going from being able to use my iPhone from say 8 in the morning to 5 or 6 in the evening with moderate usage such as texting 2-3 people regularly, checking Twitter and Instagram along with maybe 1 or 2 calls and occasionally E-mail to having the battery lose 10% of it's charge in about 15 minutes not including the battery also dying while I am not using it.

Let's say I arrive to school with 95% battery and don't use it until I get out at 3:20, when I check my phone at 3:25 the battery life is now 72% and I haven't used it at all. It is quite disappointing seeing such a huge drain in battery when I haven't used it at all during the day. I'm not sure if there are options I have not seen yet but I've turned on Power Saving Mode, I've disabled apps that have been pre-installed on my phone from ATT and constantly use my Task Killer.

Honestly, OP, it all comes down to preference. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my Galaxy. I want to sell it and use it towards buying an iPhone 5 but it's hard to keep in pristine condition if I have to use it because my iPhone is near the end of its life so I can't use it while looking for a buyer. I may invest in another battery to keep on hand but I don't know if that would help at all. The Galaxy is a great phone, don't get me wrong but the size and battery life are a huge turn off.

iPhone all da way

Plus if you wanted you could change the housing or even the bezel so it sticks out from other iPhones.

I'm pretty sure the flood just convinced me to buy the iphone 4s.

Thanks for this tip about the battery. I didn't realize it was such a battery drainer.
