It's debatable whether Halo 2 were the golden days of Halo. What it definitely was was the golden days of Xbox Live. This was when the XBL community was at its best, everyone active, talking, playing with strangers in customs...it was a blast every time you hopped on.

The XBL community we have nowadays is the complete opposite of what it used to be, everyone isolates themselves from randoms. Not to mention Halo 2 was just a fun ass game overall. My favorite online game of all time.

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

You missed out on a lot of things OP.

This world wants to drag you down... And the weight, that guilt they want to hang around your neck, you don’t have to carry it one more step. You think they won’t let you rest, but it’s not up to them. It never was.

Same here. In fact, I didn't get XBL until after Reach released.

Marine Corps.
Semper Fi.

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

Lmao I forgot about that.

I miss it. The one in Splinter Cell Chaos Theory let you sound like a Robot.

"There's a very fine line between not listening, and not caring. I'd like to think that I walk that line every day."

I had Halo 2 for a year or two (during which I only had a couple games) but never XBL, so it was almost all solo campaign funness.

When I got my 360 I got Live and Halo 3.

So I as well have only played a couple games of Halo 2, and those were on the dying edge of the MM.

I never played H2 online but my profile still shows stats for H2! Try to beat that!

"We live in a special time; the only time where we can observationally verify that we live in a very special time" - Lawrence Krauss.

I was a finalist :P

Voice masking was hilarious.

hmm

I didn't either. Played Halo CE with my buddies at school, it eventually convinced me to get an Xbox and then Halo 3.

I got a couple of regrettable tattoos but, you can't see 'em when I wear a black suit.

Good times with Aaen and Joseph.

"Before you insult someone, try walking a mile in their shoes. This way, when you insult them, you are a mile away and have their shoes."

You missed out on the worst, glitchiest, and most noob friendly version of Halo multiplayer in existence. No worries.

I agree that all presidents should serve 2 terms. 1 in office and 1 in prison

It was fun at the time. Halo 3 was better.
