Subject: Is Narcoterrorism a Legitimate Way to Weaken a Nation?

Gather around the campfire, once it goes out, it's out for good.

A growing practice among terrorist groups, the process simultaneously converts a nation's productive population into low-energy drug addicts while producing large amounts of revenue for an organization to utilize towards its own goals.
Unlike conventional terroristic acts, it does not require the murder of innocent people and figures and is only effective if the consumers choose to contribute.

So I want to know what you guys think about it. Should this be acceptable? Is it no worse than other forms of terrorism?

Why would terrorism in any way be acceptable?

Covan was here, December 20th.

Come back later, after he's out of Parris Island.

Is this a good question for a research paper?

American Revolution.

OT: That doesn't exactly seem like terrorism.

Believe it or not, forms of terrorism are often adequate tools for liberation.

It's not an act of terrorism because that's not terrorism.

Just because you do it for a good cause doesn't exactly mean how you achieved that end is acceptable.

The question of the day is; Does the ends justify the means?

I realize. But it is practiced by many terror groups so I felt relation was close enough.

Is it bad if the people willingly subscribe to it?

Terrorist groups involved with drug trafficing aren't doing it to get an entire nation drug addicted (think about how challenging it would be to get a large enough portion of the labor force to actually economically damage the country). Typically they're doing it for the profit which is then used to fund actual terrorist operations.

It's had noticeable effects in nations such as Russia. I realize there aren't any current models for it's complete use.

Because it's not an effective or even possible model. You may see in Russia drug addiction be an issue but not to the point of destabilizing the state. Drug trafficking is just that. It's a means to fund actual acts of terror for some political purposes, not the act of terror itself.

Large drug issues can lead to crime and other internal issues, meaning social instability.

But you're right.
