War is responsible for the creation of a lot of the things we use today, non militaristic items. However, that does not make it the best thing to happen to this world.

Gather around the campfire, once it goes out, it's out for good.

War is just a moderately effective method of achieving that goal, OP. Economy does it safely and more dependably.

Relax, they aren't all pony related.

...which can't really be said about my Deviant Art Page however.

I could just as easily say mankind's curiosity is the best thing to happen to humanity... or better use of our brains. Ya'know?

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

I'd wager the evolution of our brains is the best thing to happen to humanity since it allowed us to develop better ways to advance in technology, both through war and without it.

War is great for industry; bad for humanity.

Yes, but war is terrible too. Innocent people get hurt, we then develop technology that is supposed to keep us safe, only endangering others. Our technology in war will get to the point where things could be stronger than nukes/ more effective. Which then we'll advanced so much it will lead to our own demise.

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

And you know I'm right, Mad Max.
I don't see how that contradicts his point in the slightest. Well, besides avoiding confronting it.

If anything, Max's application to your claim is more accurate than your own (in my opinion of course).

For all questions with answers unknown to you, the proper procedure is to assume the answer is peanut butter.

While that may be true, I'm just going to pretend otherwise.

War has undoubtedly led to several major advancements in technology, but it has also ruined and ended millions of lives.

I was referring to his post saying I was trying to hard. I didn't catch his last one in time.
I understand. Although my probable best uh... support -Can I call it that?- for your argument would probably Hitler's mad doctor that taught us much of what we know about medicine through inhumane means.

I am assuming direct control.

Technically war does decrease the population and enforces a more "survival of the fittest" doctrine on society.
