Without The Flood, I wouldn't know what an opinion is.

Skip the middleman and just call it fear and greed.

I was expecting some bad trolling, but some valid points were made.
Was is great for industry; bad for humanity.

No. The things you get out of it benefit all of us. Look at GPS, which was originally a military only technology. It's a product of desperate engineering that has applications that extend to everyone's benefit.
Nope, still wrong.

War is bad for humans. People die.

War is good for industry, innovation, and technology, which, in turn, is good for consumers.

War is the best thing to happen....to a country with a struggling economy.

Assuming that country is the "winner".

Indeed it does, but scientists are constantly working on those things anyway these days.

They just don't get unlimited funding like when a war is on.

And humanity is the consumer. How hard is this?

Humans and humanity are different. Not all humans are consumers. Widespread death and destruction is bad for humanity. The tools with which it is done is indirectly good for consumers.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I for one would prefer not to have lost millions and millions of lives throughout human history but I do understand what you mean.

When are you going to just stop? Your exaggerated and instigating point of views are just plain annoying. It's once thing to voice your opinion, it's another to purposely go against the grain.

Pure Insanity
The point of war is not to die for one's clan, but it's to make the other bastard die for his
Right before you die, there is always a chance to save yourself, sieze that chance and live to fight another day
The best way to kill someone is to fight them with the same weapons they use and make them know you are better than them, not because of superior weaponry, but because of superior skill.
Hidden in the shadows, Clothed in camo, Armed to the teeth. Hunting.

Technology, if nothing else, will be our downfall. War progress technology, yes, which helps medicine, science, etc, but it also progresses our doom.

I agree, and it might sound idiotic, but Humans will always be at war. Every day is another war for every one of us.

More awesome than a shark high-fiving a bear during an explosion...IN SPACE.

You made some valid points, but war definitely isn't the best thing to happen to humanity even though it has indeed helped us progress many times. The best thing about humanity is probably our sense of curiosity. "How does this work? Why does this happen? How can I make this better? How can I do that? I wonder if I can do that?" Questions like that are how all inventions, technology, innovations, and discoveries are made.
