Honestly, I do quite like Halo 4. It has a lot of what I wanted. I was never with Halo for the competitive arena multiplayer, I was there mostly for the narrative. That said, I have always liked Halo for its multiplayer. Even if I found Halo 3 and Reach a bit messy. Halo 2 had simplicity, all you had was the triangle. It was fair. However, I always wanted Halo to take a different approach. Incorporating more narrative. Massive skirmishes and assaults of a scale that a few years ago a gamer could only dream. But with Halo I feel that will never happen. Far more of its base players are there for its arena style gameplay. This is how I would have done the Multiplayer of Halo 4, whilst keeping both parties content.
I like what they have done with the loadouts, and the ordnance drop system. But I only like the latter as a deliverance system. So basically I only like the ordnance drop because a pod coming from space to deliver you weapons is more interesting than it appearing out of nowhere. But the ordnance drop should only be for delivering weapons the same way they appeared in a certain location in previous games. That means no ordnance meter, no personal ordnance. I do like the idea that they can spawn in any number of random locations though as it makes for a different outcome every play. The speed, damage and shield boosters are by far in my opinion the worst thing added to the game. Or at least the worst implemented. The loadout system is terribly unfair. Gone are the days of everyone starting remotely even. Sure you should be able to choose your primary, sidearm, grenade type and maybe armour ability because I can really never seem to make up my mind about them. Ammo should be acquired back at your base.
That is really all I have. I will edit if there is anything else I have missed, and right now I have a very strong feeling I missed a lot.
