Ignore my gamertag. It's actually Dragonzzilla.

Aren't video games, I don't know, meant for relaxing and having fun? The Flood constantly bashes games for appealing to casuals, for implementing causal mechanics... like what kind of bull-blam!- is that? Does the Flood like dredging through a long-ass field without a long-range rifle or the ability to traverse it quickly? Damn.

Being competitive is the only way I can have fun with my video games.

That they're casual.

Mreh.

Casuals are like Jews in WWII Germany. It doesn't make sense, but everybody hates you.

Without The Flood, I wouldn't know what an opinion is.

Nobody can agree on what "Casual" means, that's what's wrong with it.

Sometimes I am tempted to quit gaming. I can no longer play without seeing ponyphags, horrendously bad teammates and mexicans.

Gaming community, I want you to know that you suck.

They make it bad for everyone else.

Pure Insanity
The point of war is not to die for one's clan, but it's to make the other bastard die for his
Right before you die, there is always a chance to save yourself, sieze that chance and live to fight another day
The best way to kill someone is to fight them with the same weapons they use and make them know you are better than them, not because of superior weaponry, but because of superior skill.
Hidden in the shadows, Clothed in camo, Armed to the teeth. Hunting.

I suspect it is somewhat because people like to take games too seriously. They are competitive in real life, and it translates over, or they can't express that competitiveness without the use of video games.

I just dont understand how casuals play.

Can they really just say "I dont even care how I do in this game"?

I mean, I always strive to try and do my best in anything.

Lt. Dan I brought you some ice cream. Lt. Dan.. ice creaaam!

Because games used to be about having fun, not being easy.

Taking a causal stroll across a huge-ass sand dune is fun?

It's just about messing around. K/D doesn't matter because we're just trying to play for fun, perhaps have a couple of drinks with some friends and try to betray each other in absurd fashions.

There's nothing wrong with casuals.

The problem is that many games these days sacrifice depth and difficulty to cater to casuals. Game Design is a balance. A game should absolutely be designed first and foremost with hardcore gamers in mind, with enough depth and interesting mechanics to keep them engaged, but at the same time, the game must be open and inviting to casuals, and encourage them to invest their time and trascend their own casualness.

If a game doesn't cater to casuals, you have a game like Dark Souls, which is still a beautiful game, but will not have a large fan base because it does not encourage the average joe to invest himself in the game.

If a game caters to casuals too much, then you have an easy game without any depth or substance.

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

Because casuals don't see problems. And so, gaming companies will make games with a significant amount of problems and the casuals will still buy that game and enjoy that game.

I mean, I do that with my friends. We have a few drinks and play madden, NHL, or fifa. And put money on the games. Its always competitive.

If im not competing, I just feel like Im wasting my time.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

They don't play competitive games competitively, and though that isn't bad by itself, it can annoy people who are playing the same game for competition and to win, because they don't feel the incentive to win.

Filthy casuals.

Major props to my hommie Sheeef. He made Recon possible for me. Long time recovering emails and passwords. And it was his. lol.

Multiplayer games aren't really meant for it.
Single player/RPG games cater better.

IMO: I don't mind it. It's a game I like, so i'll play it.

My stats in Halol 4

Typical Waypoint post.
no it's "its got to go" you wouldn't say the "it is got to go" would you?

The casual gaming mindset has led to a massive increase in the production of shallow and mindlessly easy games such as Call of Duty and the Wii.

  • 12.16.2012 9:01 PM PDT

Because casuals don't mind that the outcome of a match depends on how lucky one team got over the other.
