Subject: Why do people think getting into vehicles is a bad idea?

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

I play mostly multiplayer games that have vehicles in them. What I don't understand is why don't they want to get into the vehicle even though, they are more than likely going to get a Killing Frenzy? If that person has the flag why don't they get into the passenger seat in the warthog? Literally, it kills the incentive to get into vehicles when all people want to do is run around with their thumbs up their ass. It even kills the reason I want to play BTB in the first place.

What do you guys think?

GOAT

I don't like gunning because 90% of the population has no -blam!- clue how to drive a warthog.

What games in particular? I'm assuming mostly Halo.

You sure, cause people are fond of hopping on the gunner seat.

Major props to my hommie Sheeef. He made Recon possible for me. Long time recovering emails and passwords. And it was his. lol.

I can do just fine without them.

If maps have them, they shouldn't just be thrown in there.

Give back air vehicles.
Make maps more balanced with the given vehicle set.

I do. Hell I even gave someone a killing frenzy while on the mongoose.

Though, I do get what you mean since, some people think ramming a warthog into a wraith is a good idea.

Nahman Jayden, Eff bee eye. I herd that you're the origammy killah...

In halo 4, it's because of the amount of Plasma pistols and nades, coupled with power weapons being abundant in general.
Overall? Cuz people are panzies.

I like using tanks and vehicles. Definitely beats using a burst fire pea shooter.

Got into a tank today, got a perfection, a kilionare and an untouchable.

I am not talking about Halo 4's BTB. That crap sucks. If they get rid of ordinance and custom loadouts for BTB I might just start playing multiplayer again. I mean who thought it was a good idea to make the weapon spawns random(spartan laser might never come back) and let people come rain down Power weapons next to them?

I am not just talking about Halo 4 though. I am talking about the Halo before Halo 4. Yes even Reach because I have given people rampages before in the warthog.

  • 12.16.2012 10:06 PM PDT

Yeah you know me, I used to sleep with a straitjacket on.

Because in Halo 3, people would drive off the cliff in Avalanche whenever I'm holding the objective when I'm suppose to deliver it to a certain place. Since that day, I barely get in vehicles.

Dude, everything that is Halo 4 is 343i fault. :( Random weapon spawn I understand, but certain weapons NEED to stay fixed. Meaning, stay at their fixed rate and position.

Ordinance drops are poopy.

For me, I still don't care for vehicles. If someone is going to gun or drive and I'm joining (vice versa), not going to do it. Rather get kills on foot and not spray and aim.

  • 12.16.2012 10:09 PM PDT

Key

Not gonna lie, I was expected a thread about a study of the growing population of people with car-o-phobia.

OT: Because it's an easy multikill with the right weapon. It's like if you get a better weapon, your friend gets no weapon, you get a custom power up to make you go faster, but you're attached at the hip and you can't move yourself only your friend moves you but you aim. That just sounds terrible when you say it out loud.

You sure?

Cause from my experience people would rush for the vehicles.

Two makes there more than speakers.

Because they're useless.
Plasma Pistols everywhere, anything can take them out, drivers that only want to crash into every wall they see, and not to mention that a lot of people are just terrible at games.

心の中に弱い風が吹いています。

Well at least in Halo 4, Plasma Grenades have ungodly amounts of magnetism to their target, so that usually means your Warthog is going to nothing but a pile of smoke by the time you make your second pass at some enemies.

Of course I never understand how a fresh Warthog can survive a direct rocket hit, but then not be able to take 2 plasma grenades exploding on places like the bumper.

Also I've never really liked using vehicles in Halo. They've, for the most part, been nothing but steel coffins waiting to happen.

My 47 kill Gauss streak would like a word with you.

Also I regularily go 3.0 in a ghost, use wheelman and don't splatter, just strafe and shoot. Works like a charm.

TL;DR adapt

It isn't our shiznit anymore.

No idea why you're trusting in randoms, OP. You need dedicated gunners.

  • 12.16.2012 10:45 PM PDT

Death to rank junkies.

I always drive. The problem is that unless I'm playing with friends, the warthog gunners are complete and total morons. They ignore most enemies and can't hit a damn thing. I'd rather have a marine from campaign.

no it's "its got to go" you wouldn't say the "it is got to go" would you?

This. Randoms just make you a double kill waiting to happen.

  • 12.16.2012 11:21 PM PDT

In Halo? I have no idea why. The vehicles are very easy to control.
However in Battlefield I understand a little more. A lot of idiots won't use tanks or jets or helicopters because they find them hard to drive. But it's all about practice and that's a concept most people don't understand today, that's why we have so many cod clones.

i dont like vehicles. as when someone gets 4-5 kills they can get a lazer/rockets/cannon/Fuelrod/ect map control/weapon spawn control is nigh-pointless.

and 90% of the populations spaz's the -blam!- out whenever they get on a turret.

My rule of thumb is look straight, I'll turn the vehicle so you can see people, but look straight, if you start spinning around you're going to miss the guy that's about to charge you with a plasma pistol.

Sticking towards the back wall on Exile is pretty easy if you don't have a driver that's stuck on the idea of getting the Verdant visor.

Wheelman doesn't really help either if everyone is using a PP, and going 3.0 in a Ghost means that you're playing with 8 year olds.
