"If practice makes perfect" and 'nobody's perfect,' then what's the point of practice?"

Do they even lift?

<(-_-)> Teh mokey is not amused

I'd argue the ones they're protecting deserve less respect. A lawyer can't exactly decline a case because he believes the commiter is guilty, that'd likely get him fired.

As much as I hate the saying I think it fits here "Well someone has to do it"

They call me graland.

Criminals have rights, too, and lawyers are just doing their job.

Innocent before proven guilty.

For every lawyer protecting a villain, there is a lawyer helping someone who ahs been wrongly acquitted of a crime.

But we never hear their stories though.

Questions lead to learning, learning leads to kowledge, knowledge leads to understanding, understanding leads to peace.

"I would kill to get a killionaire... 10 times... digitally."

Most lawyers turn down the crazy and guilty people flat out. They're not as bad as you think. Without them, no one could get a fair trial. It's just a stereotype morons believe.

They don't manipulate the law, they just make sure that their client get's treated fairly.

Besides, not all lawyers defend criminals.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Innocent until proven guilty

"I don't mean to sound bitter, cold or cruel, but I am, so that's how it comes out"
- Bill Hicks

Right to a fair trial is one of the basic civil liberties. Lawyers just help to make sure everyone has that.

With that said, there will be plenty of unscrupulous lawyers out there but it's no worse than other professions and those who are only involved in defending the guilty are nowhere near the worse.

Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.

Please allow me to introduce Myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

So, the problem that most of you seem to have is that defense attorneys "defend the guilty." Would that be a fair statement?

How does the attorney make that call? There hasn't been a trial yet. That's the whole point of a trial, to prove guilt or innocence. So, why should the attorneys be making that call?

Too many of you have a twisted view of the legal profession. One that's inspired by TV and movies. I hope that you never need an attorney, but I promise your view of them will change when you need one.

Oh you two. ;) Just stahp. <3

OP: I'm with you. A person who is clearly guilty has a lawyer to defend them. I'd hate to be that lawyer. In fact, I think it shouldn't exist. Sure I understand the EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO A LAWYER. :\

Bij topsleep staat besparen voorop! Zo biedt de topsleep kindermatrassen en traagschuim matrassen aan tegen zeer scherpe prijzen, die soms ver onder de prijzen van concurrerende bedrijven zitten.

Also, there are a bunch of lawyers with explicitly good intentions - My uncle is a human rights lawyer, for instance.

Just like bankers and stock brokers, it's a job that tends to attract scum bags.

But not all are bad.
