(if there is a thread for this my bad) anywho i have an idea for a very large map in halo3.....it is a valley lvl...from an arial view its shaped like a C or an L.....the are scarabs on either side of the map(each team will start on the scarab).....on the valley walls there are places to jump from the scarab on to the walls and caves to go hide in(also weapons wil be on these little outlets)....the teams could pilot the scarab slowly throu the valley....gettin weapons and wat nots....while making thier way to the center where the scarabs will meet and fight it out the only way the teams can kill the opposing scarab is 2 kill the driver of the opposing scarab....this game will prolly have to work in rounds cause of how big the map is....anywho maybe this could be a map iin mp that u can actually use the scarab.....if have any changes or ideas...and maybe just some good ol opinions ..let me hear em

Yeah, no. Because I would just stay on my side of the canyon, and when they rounded the bend, and their main cannon hasn't lined up with me yet. I would just you know, fire the death cannon at them...."Round Over".

A map like that would be huge, and best played with teams of about 30. A great idea.

maybe the scarabs could be on autopilot, and the objective could be to either kill all the opposing teammates or disable the scarab.

and then it could blow up or something.

yeah it sounds like you'd have to play it in rounds. and maybe the level should be more of a Z shape so you could go through some caves and get a few shots off at the other team before the scarabs meet.

Notice he said that the only way to destroy the scrab is to kill ist driver, blasting the outside wouldnt do that, the point is that you have to get inside the other teams vehicle.

yea but the only way to kill the enemy scarabs is to kill their driver the scarabs would have to shoot at the players that are stoopid enough to come out of the caves and show their face in front of the enemy scarab otherwise yea thats all u have to do

If it was "L" or even "C" or for that matter "Z" shaped. and they are rounding the bend, you could you know just shoot the lower deck, the blast radious from that, would most likely destroy anything therein. I don't know, I just think wtf is bfg was right. Why do we need a map specifically for your gametype?

Maybe there can be maps for game types.....;D just for variety...maybe a break from the norm slayer/ctf/ yadda yadda yadda this game type or any others would have more of an objective to them...maybe they can make it a matchmakin option..."Objective game"

Sounds fun. but you should be able to play with bots becaus 60 plaiers would lag bad.

Or you could have just a really long straight canyon, 1 team is in a base on the ground with tons of banshees, and the other team spawns on the scarab which is walking slowly forwards. The team on the ground has to kill all the people in the scarab, so that there are none of the other team in it at any one time, the ground team then wins the game. The team in the scarab has to defend the scarab, they can jack the other team's banshees and stuff, if the team who are defending the scarab manage to hold the other team off and the scarab (on auto pilot) gets within a certain distance of the ground team's base, the scarab then fires and wastes the base, the scarab team wins the game, then the teams swap over.

If you were to sit at your base the other team could stay in the middle (seeing as to how the sacrab doesn't take damage) then when your team jumped over they would massacre you. Also you suck.

If I'm not moving from my base, and they stay in the middle, how do they kill me when I jump over.
Please ensure brain is engaged before putting keyboard into gear.
