Don't feel bad for speaking the truth. The only thing Halo 4 really has going for it that's better are the graphics. Which I can't even consider a real plus when the frame rate drop online makes the game unplayable at times. The Xbox is too outdated to handle this game. Maybe they should have waited for the next gen console.

Yeah, some of the dialogue wasn't the best but I did like the choice system, overall the campaign flowed pretty well.

Frankly I am surprised his favorite cussword hasn't ended up a meme yet. He said it more than "an arrow to the knee" was said in Skyrim.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

I have yet to try BO2 yet, though I fully intend to, I actually didn't mind 343i bringing a little drama to the Halo story. My only issue was that the way they crafted the story nearly requires you to have some understanding of expanded universe to really keep up.

Hot topic incoming, the fire rises.

Also, of course 343 took it more seriously. It was their first game and they had a lot of pressure on them to make a good game. Treyarch didn't need to take it seriously at all, since the game would make billions anyway.

Anyway?

Different from Halo 4, Black Ops 2 didn't come broken and full of glitches.
Halo 2 was like that when it first shipped, but you don't see people remembering that. Jump off the hate bandwagon and come back to reality.

Halo 2 is a terrible example due to the fact that it is a 8 year old game and was introduced when xbox live was at it's infancy [Notice I don't mean it's the first xbox live game], online console gaming hadn't progressed till that point. Plus most of the glitches were actually fun [subjective] and were reasonable considering how ambitious the project was. Although Halo 4 isn't a glitchfest it's still is a terrible Halo game. [Subjective]

Lol hate bandwagon. try actually thinking about why Halo 2 was the game it was. That's a good example of using Halo 2 as a self-reflection for you not practicing what you preach.
Yeah it is a great example, a great example at how nostalgia completely clouds people's minds. Halo 2 was broken and glitchy. Superjump to abuse the maps, messed up melee system, one weapons sandbox, ect... Plus the title updates for that game were like....... never. People still continue to praise Halo 2 as if it was some god, but in reality, it's not all that good. And don't even get me started with Halo 2's trash campaign.

What was that,Charlie?
OT: I haven't tried Black Ops II yet. I still play Halo 4, but alot less than I expected myself to be playing it. It didn't have the feel that previous games had. I didn't think it was bad, I just didn't think it was amazing like the first three games.

Having just finished black ops 2 20 minutes ago I shall say that the campaign was indeed more enjoyable than halo 4's.
The only thing I disliked was some of the dialog. Namely the admiral on the Obama. He was REALLY annoying how they had him repeat the same cuss word over and over and over again.

CRIMSON!

Which is exactly what I am talking about.

Bungie's Halo games anyone could pick them up, and in a short time get what was going on. Here, even fans who played all the previous titles would struggle with who everyone was, why they were fighting etc...

The games should be able to contain their whole story. You shouldn't be forced to read 3 novels to prime you for what's going on.

The last thing we need is a repeat of that incident. We already got 'CRIMSON!' and 'eggheads' from Halo 4.

And it's a full game to. Unlike Halo 4 you can rank up to all the levels.
I cannot take anybody serious if they have this opinion, its just plain stupid.

Yeah Treyarch is a ****ing beast. Halo4 is kind of crappy seeing as it didn't come with 1-50 ranks, Team Snipers, and there's been an 80% drop in population. It's basically like Reach again. At least we know what to expect with CoD!

Yes and no. 343's decision to make it so you have o read the books was a bad bad decision. I still don't know how Chief automatically knows who Diadact is.

But making sequels self contained is also a step too far if there's an overarching story. I wouldn't call Halo 3's story self contained for example. Maybe this is what you meant though.

I like that they are making the books the same level of canon as the game. So that way it's not going to be like Reach where the game canon overrides the books. But it kills the whole point of playing the story if you have no idea what's going on after Halo 3. I shouldn't have to use outside resources so the game makes sense. The game should tell us what happened from the previous game up till now.

The other thing is that I don't care for Karen Traviss. So I'm not going to buy her books. Which means I have no idea what's going to happen in halo 5 and 6. If they do the same thing with Halo 4. The only reason why I even knew about why we are fighting the Covenant after Halo 3. Is because I seen some of the post here about it.

I liked Halo 2's story more then any other game. The story was great and no oversimplified like the others. But the ending could have been better and all those other problems are due to the time restraints with Microsoft. Bungie thought they had more time then they had and the result was a rushed game with a cut story.

And why's that? In Halo 4 if you want to get past SR 50 for now. You either need the LE or those specializations codes. Black OPS on the other hand you don't need any codes to continue leveling up.

I am probably done buying any COD games. All I can really say about the WAW and black ops series is that I like zombies. For multiplayer I match prefer battlefield 3.

The books takes place before Halo 4. I have a feeling that Halo 5 will pick up like Halo 2 did after 1.

There are plenty of games that are better. I'm only comparing these two in this thread.

So you are saying that it is worth it for me to ask for Black Ops 2 for Christmas? I already have Halo 4, and I was unsure as to whether to buy Black Ops 2 because MW3 was such a disappointment.

I didn't even play Black Ops 2 and I would believe that it was better than Halo 4.

That depends on what you like in a game. Play it at best buy, or a friend's house.

I prefer Halo campaigns... But at least Black ops 2 has bots.

Even though Blops 2 is a huge improvement in CoD, I like Halo 4 more.
