The best victories are the ones the other side didn't expect.
Yes Costco. I need a 50lb bag...I mean sack of sugar.
I still don't see why people get hung up over what is canon in Halo. If the developers of the original medium of a multimedia universe decide to go off something they didn't write for the universe, then it is the new law/story/everything.
If 343i/microsoft had wanted to make Chief go rogue and introduce a new protagonist, then so be it. How can someone call themselves a fan of a series if they aren't willing to respect the choices of the creative direction taken by the writers? So what if it isn't canon to books based on the universe spawned by Video games. Were there no Video Game, there would be no books.
That being said, smart business would never allow either company to piss off a bunch of whiny brats, so no one has a thing to worry about.

Halo 4 just took itself too seriously. Bungie didn't do that. They made sure that it felt like an adventure. 343i was trying way too hard to be canonically correct when making the game, and in doing so took it all too seriously.
And btw, I am not lashing out at you Charlie, this is just my opinion on the whole canon situation with Halo. It's like hardcore fanboys getting pissy about Dragonball GT not being canon, when in fact, it is, due to everything I just said.
Again, sorry, I agree that Black Ops II is turning out better than Halo, but that is from a multiplayer standpoint for me thus far. I haven't played Blops II campaign yet.
