Black Ops 2 was the best CoD game ever, but was still pretty rubbish. Campaign was a joke.
I do t get it. I thought it was great.

I somewhat disagree with your logic and how you came to that conclusion. 343 being so serious and canonically correct with Halo 4 is one of the things that made it so awesome; they clearly did their homework and managed to do a few new things while staying not only true to the original trilogy, but to the Halo canon as a whole. And it was simply awesome. The Chief and Cortana haven't changed in the slightest and it was nostalgic.

Not taking games too seriously leads to a lot of problems, and some of my favourite series have taken some severe falls due to that, so I'm a bit biased.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Except it kinda wasn't.

The best victories are the ones the other side didn't expect.

Yes Costco. I need a 50lb bag...I mean sack of sugar.

I still don't see why people get hung up over what is canon in Halo. If the developers of the original medium of a multimedia universe decide to go off something they didn't write for the universe, then it is the new law/story/everything.

If 343i/microsoft had wanted to make Chief go rogue and introduce a new protagonist, then so be it. How can someone call themselves a fan of a series if they aren't willing to respect the choices of the creative direction taken by the writers? So what if it isn't canon to books based on the universe spawned by Video games. Were there no Video Game, there would be no books.

That being said, smart business would never allow either company to piss off a bunch of whiny brats, so no one has a thing to worry about.

Halo 4 just took itself too seriously. Bungie didn't do that. They made sure that it felt like an adventure. 343i was trying way too hard to be canonically correct when making the game, and in doing so took it all too seriously.

And btw, I am not lashing out at you Charlie, this is just my opinion on the whole canon situation with Halo. It's like hardcore fanboys getting pissy about Dragonball GT not being canon, when in fact, it is, due to everything I just said.

Again, sorry, I agree that Black Ops II is turning out better than Halo, but that is from a multiplayer standpoint for me thus far. I haven't played Blops II campaign yet.

Trust me, I'm the Doctor...

Black Ops 2's multiplayer is horrible until you hit the late 40 levels.

The unlock system is terrible, and half the weapons in each class are just terrible. There's about two or three decent assault rifles.

Halo 4 had a better progression system and sandbox balance.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

So your problem with the game is that it's too serious?
I don't mind it, I like the lore and I would like to learn more about the Forerunners (especially their betrayal on the Precursors).

If only they fixed matchmaking and added Team Snipers again.

I hate to say it but COD is terrible and always has been.

Oh god...those graphics....eurgh they are like six years old.

And both are pretty rubbish, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Halo 4, but it just lacks replay ability.

I'm The Batman.

They are both bad.

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

I've enjoyed Halo 4 despite it's many flaws, COD games just don't entertain me anymore though.

So I disagree.

Halo 2 was the best Halo game
A7x FoREVer!

Black Ops 2: Put my controller down within 48 hours.

Halo 4: Lasted me about a month, but I'd rather play Guardians of Middle Earth (and I'm not a fan of MOBA's).

CoD needs to die already, and Halo is kinda getting old. I'm glad Bungie took a different route and made something new.
