So i did post this on the xbox forums, but they haven't replied yet. they're slower than the second coming of christ.

my xbox is a bit broken, but its under warranty. i was wondering if there are any fees like shipping/handling, and stuff like that. i live in canada, so i need to send it to the us. there is an 8 dollar charge on the label, but shouldn't that be free?

any help is appreciated

Disregard Females, acquire currency.

What's wrong with your xbox?

Make sure you put the order through Xbox.CA. I think you get charged if you put it through the US site.

the disc drive is all wonky. when i first bought it, 6 months ago, i noticed the tray was really wobbly. i didn't pay too much attention, because it ran games fine. now, it takes me 10+ times of inserting the game, taking it out, and putting it back in before the console reads the disc. it keeps saying "Play Game" and then when i click it, it says there is a problem with the disc.

it happens to every game i own though.

i dont think there is just a regular xbox.ca

i google xbox.ca and click the first link, and it takes me to xbox.com/en-ca/

Oh, I think that's what I meant. I remember the old version of the site defaulted to .com/us/, and that would take me to the US repair page. But if it's en-ca, you're probably in the right place.

If you're under warranty then everything will be free*, you know you can set up/register for repair for yourself through the website?

*Don't if it is just for Rrod and/or other issues.

So my Xbox is under warranty. I want Xbox to send me the label so I can print it. I then have to send in my Xbox. All fees are covered under the warranty? No shipping/handling or customs or whatever fees?

Feel free to send me messages, please be willing to wait 6-8 years for a reply.

1-7 hours if you at least tried to make it readable.

Immediately if you are Yax, Telec, or legendary.

Never if you are mythic, you guys smell funny.

If your Xbox is out of warranty, you could just clean the disc laser yourself, pretty easy thing to do you know.

Yeah it's all covered. Xbox does send you a label but you'll need to put the xbox in a box at your expense or just a random box lying around the house.

Note: It was only free for me, since I had the Rrod, which was under warranty. I don't know about other issues. Your best bet is to contact Xbox to see if you will be charged or not.
