Subject: So, when will Religious/Political discussion be allowed?

If I recall correctly, the reason it wasn't allowed was because Microsoft gave Bungie a specific set of rules to follow for forums. No political/religious discussion were some of those rules.

However, now that Bungie has nothing to do with Microsoft, when will these rules be abolished?

Why did you block me from sending you PM's? I just respectfully gave you a recommendation on not to spam the Flood.

If that was the case that MS gave a set of rules to be followed in the forum... it is a good rule and should stay there.

This part is incorrect. It is totally by Bungie's choice to steer clear of this type of discussion.

That's up to the discretion of the webteam.

If you're so interested in taking part in political/religious discussion online, there are plenty other websites to do so. If you want to do so on bungie.net, take it to a group that already has that covered.

I honestly think that a separate public forum for political and religious discussion would be cool.

It's a little like being a bartender. Never discuss politics or religion. You want your bar guests to like you. Why eliminate half of them or more by staking a claim on a political or religious side?

Similar for any business, in this case a game developer. You stay out of that area. It can do no good for your business.

  • 12.17.2012 2:42 PM PDT

Hopefully they will never be allowed. There's a time and a place for everything, and Bungie.Net is not it.

This isn't a compelling argument.

I'm not particular for or against this...BUT if this was to be implemented...just have 2 pinned topics at the very top, one for religious discussion, and one for political discussion.

Everything religious and political stay in there. If anything leaks out, instant ban for stupidity, since people would easily be able to see the threads.

Hopefully never. I hate those threads cause it turns the posters of The Flood into false prophets preaching their ideals to anyone able to read. It's now allowed for a reason, and don't try to sugarcoat it by saying "It's a social issue" when anyone with common sense can clearly see it's Political/Religious.
