Do not waste your tears, I was not born to watch the world grow dim. Life is not measured in years, but by the deeds of men.

We should know better, because we are better.

I barely ever noticed the soundtrack. I only noticed it when I replay one section over and over again, but other than that, I rarely notice. Never left that big of an impression on me.

Two makes there more than speakers.

I miss the monks.

And so the war of Gods and Demons shall begin. Tomorrow will end with your heart in my hand!

Love ya! =3

I thought it was pretty good. All the other Halo games have it beat by a mile though.
The only problem I had was that I could barely hear it. I think it's my TV though. The thing is years old and is a piece of crap.

OST was brilliant, but its inclusion in the game was poor.

halo 3 and 2 had the best by far. Mostly 3.

Yes, I know my username is the 330th sequel to a terrible movie. You don't have to keep telling me.

I did like 117 a lot. It's like they gave Chief theme music.

Faithless is an awesome theme for the Covenant too.

I'll give Neil that one. He managed to slap some of his fingers down in a very precise position to make 117.

117 was composed by Kazuma Jinnouchi.

yeah this reminds me of the time i got sent to jail for stealing crocs from target becozs i wanted all of the colors because i only got the green wons for my birthday and i wanted more ;)

Pretty forgetable soundtrack.

There is a certain point of tolerance that should never be reached.

Again, haters gonna hate. Halo 4's soundtrack was great IMO.

  • 12.17.2012 4:54 PM PDT

The soundtrack was meh. The main reason it was bad is because it was implemented poorly into the game.

The parts where I even noticed the music playing were few and far in-between. When I tried to pay attention to it in some places, it was a repeating loop every few seconds playing a jarring sound.

  • 12.17.2012 4:58 PM PDT

Let's all just be happy! Doesn't that sound like fun?

Yay!

The soundtrack was decent. A few good songs got sprinkled in here and there. However, compared to Marty's genius and Bungie's ability to actually put the music in proper spots without looping it, it cam off pretty bad in game.

117 is the exception, it gave me a real nice feeling on the last level.

Been here since December 5th, 2007.
There is no signature in here. Go away.
New GT:a big kitten

The soundtrack was meh IMO.

Owning Noobs Since 05

"I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather. Not screaming in terror like his passengers."

Jim Harkins

I enjoyed it but I like Marty's style better.

Old School

thought it was a load of wank to be honest. the only decent song is that main theme.

  • 12.17.2012 5:17 PM PDT

I am the God Emprah of Mankind.

Deal with it.

Terrible, everything's terrible!

Why can't they just make everything Halo 3 except different!?

There's a few good tracks in it, but yeah, the rest just feels completely bland and unmemorable.

Just like the scores for halo 2 and 3

Red vs Blue Fan. Doc is the best!

It wasn't extraordinary but it had a few good tracks. ODST's was still my favorite.

The soundtrack is great, you're just annoyed that it isn't Marty.
I could care less if it's a penguin with his balls tied to his beak doing the music.

Your vulgarity and extremism suggest otherwise.

The music was more cinematic, but no less fit the sci-fi tone that Halo's been known for.

1. Half-Life 2
2. Mass Effect 3
3. Mass Effect 2
4. Tie between Halo 3 and CoD4
5. Medal of Honor or Spec Ops: The Line

Halo 3 > Halo 2 > Halo Reach > Halo CE > Halo ODST > Halo Wars > Halo 4 that's my opinion, with soundtracks that is.
Halo 3 at the top? Really? That was probably the most bland soundtrack of any Halo game, aside from a couple gems.

Awesome

The soundtrack itself is great, its implication in the campaign is the problem. They really need to ramp up the volume for the next game.

No, not really.
Halo 3, somewhat, but Halo 2?
Seriously? It was the most unique out of the entire series, along with ODST. Halo 4 just sounds uninteresting, and the girl's voice at the main menu makes me want to gouge my ears out. Main menu music shouldn't do that.

Not to mention the fact that a large portion of tracks are from Halo 1&2.

And people criticize Reach's soundtrack for being "uninspired".
