Good and evil are murky lines. Not really. If I go out and -blam!- someone, I'm evil. If I go out and stop a -blam!-, that was good.In an incredibly simplistic state yes, but cases are rarely as easy as "That man is a murderer, I'll shoot him first."
Are psychopaths evil or sick? Are good men simply acting out of selfish desire or are they truly altruistic? Did Hitler believe himself to be evil and continue anyway? In ending WWII with nuclear weaponry did America save lives or end thousands?
I'm sticking to my original statement. The lines between good and evil are murky and no one man can decide which is which. Good and evil are, by definition, an unspoken agreement of moral code by all of humanity.I see the dilemma you have before yourself. But let me emphasize one point:
and no one man can decide which is which.Yes. Man cannot discern right from wrong. Let me just say, I believe in God, and if you accept the self evident truth that man lacks perfect judgment, it becomes apparent that mankind needs to turn to a pure third party. Luckily, such a thing exists, and his book outlines VERY clearly right from wrong. So for me, there is no dilemma. There is only right and wrong. And it's not something I figured out myself, it's something I learned.
