I'm trying to jailbreak my iPod touch 4 with redsn0w, and I get to the point where it shows a pineapple and "installing bundles", and at about 25% of the way through, it suddenly stops, and boots normally. No cydia or anything. Any solutions?

Try a restore in iTunes (back up first), then try to jailbreak again.

Why would I restore it? It's just the same as when I backed it up. Nothing new on it.

Will put a clean version of the firmware on your iPod.

What version of iOS are you on, anyway?

You can get much further with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone.

There was a lawsuit after some guy jailbroke his PS3 and shared software and an explanation as to how.

Luckily, it was determined legal.

I just restored iPod and did the process, it loaded all the way through and went to regular apple logo and then loaded nothing new. Just a normal iPod. WTF.

Lol restoring it un-jailbreaks it.

Is the jailbreak untethered? I remember having to manually install Cydia a few months ago on an iPhone 4 when the jailbreak was tethered. You may need to install Cydia manually via SSH.
