Because often times higher leveled math isn't really applicable to normal life everyday situations like philosophy is.

Much obliged. Math and philosophy have very different methods of thinking. Math is a logical systematic process which has definite right or wrong answers. Philosophy has very opinionated answers. Math can be tricky because it is difficult to preform the necessary algorithms perfectly.
