The man I posted is Mitch Lucker, and the owl was tattooed for his daughter because her room was themed with owls.
What is with this owl craze? My older brother has a 1 year old daughter and they're doing owl things.

Owl themed stuff all over the place these days.

I don't know, either, but he had some amazing tattoos. He was skinny, yet he made his tattoos shine. RIP

I do the same. I adjudge that a person who makes gross overgeneralizations about the characters of the millions of people who engage in one of the oldest art forms known to mankind is, in fact, a poor judge of character.

If you're a zombie and you know it, bite your friends.

The Flood Theory of Deterioration: q(p)=(qi)e^(-p/r)

Where q(p) is the quality of the thread as a function of p posts, (qi) is the inital quality of the first post, p is the amount of posts and r is the e-peen of the original poster.

It's actually kind of interesting now. I realized not long ago that most of my family has at least one tattoo. I have 3, my brother has 1, my dad has 2, my sister has 1, both my uncles on my dad's side have one, of my 11 cousins all but 3 have at least one.

So that leaves my mom, those 3 cousins and 3 of my aunts without one.

An example of an action performed by a human is the act of getting a tattoo. Being black or Asian is not a representation of who you are but what you are. The former is a representation of who you are. There is an explanation for every action. In my experience, those explanations aren't the most redeeming ones.

To play the devil's advocate: what if someone got a tattoo to remember a fallen loved one? What can you infer about that person? If you think about it, what else do you need to remember someone by other than a burial? All you need is your memories, and perhaps your photos.

So in the end, what does this tell you about this person? Why the tattoo?

Well I would just wait it out, I know you seem set on getting it from your previous thread but use the year to make sure its what you want down the road. It'll go by quick.

And I think its a cool idea for a tattoo with your reasoning and such.

That person was close to the person who died. My friend has a tattoo that goes around her wrist with the date of his death wrapped with an Ouroboros. The person ment a lot to her.

People build memorials all the time. Some people carry with them memory of that person for a reason. I already told you once to not presume and draw conclusions from your young mind. You're just asking a simple question.

When I see someone with a tattoo, I see someone who does not like who he is. I see someone who lacks confidence in himself as a person. He may feel like he needs to be better accepted by his peers, the society he lives in. A tattoo tells me you lack dignity.

When I see someone with a big opinion that they're spraying to be rude, what I see is someone who feels that they're insecure with the way that they are. I'm sure as hell not lacking dignity or lacking confidence. You're the one who wants to be heard on something that doesn't even effect you in any way. Are you going to hate on people just because of the colors of their skin pigments?

Sounds like a douche move to me, to judge others without knowing them just because you presume something about them based on their outward appearance and then generalize it to everybody. You're naive and haven't traveled much yet, it's okay.

You should be learning, not giving your opinions on the subject matter.

By the way I also think this way with teens who pierce their ear(s). It tells me a lot about them, most of the time.

Just fyi, this is a forum. Viewpoints will be shared and discussion will be held. My best friend is Asian, too. They look much different than whites. I also want to visit China, Japan, and Korea. There's a bunch of other stuff I could tell you but at this point you get the idea.

I don't judge others by what they look like, but by their actions. Inking your body or piercing your body is an action that tells me about your character.

Your ignorance is overwhelming, since you could divine nothing of my character in passing just from my tattoos. But your judgment has already given me enough to judge you.

Grow up kiddo.

I'm going to tell you right now, as a person with video game tattoos and my own ideas as tattoos. You're going to regret that "Mark of Shame"

I'd find it very difficult to work it into any location on your body to make it look... Not like -blam!-. It's just a bunch of lines that aren't even attractive.

Well it tells me:
- They don't want to let go of their past. Or they can't let go of their past. A choice to continue to suffer or perhaps the belief that in tattooing their own body they are keeping that dead person "alive." Then again if you allow yourself to suffer for the sake of your loved one, wouldn't that be against the deceased's wish of making you suffer because of him/her? I don't know a loved one who would want you to suffer.

So it could be a self-defense mechanism in the end. A sign of mental weakness and instability.

But i'm judging and inferring too much here. I would treat this person the same, regardless. The person doesn't deserve anything bad coming from a stranger.

Parents never agree to a tatoo. Hell, you shouldn't have told them about your plans, its usually easier to go out and get it, then tell them about it later.

Ben, I hope we never meet. You'll know too much about me based on my sleeves. I'm a worthless character of imagination, you can interpret too much from who I am.

I presented legitimate presumptions based on possible reasoning behind a certain tattoo. But the way you dress can also tell me things about yourself. However minor those may be, it still does. The tattoo may represent minor things as well, but it still represents something of yourself.

I cannot define someone based solely off of a tattoo. But I can delineate something. But the more you know about the person, the more apparent the reasoning behind their actions are. This includes the action to get a tattoo.
