There are certain glitches that need to be taken out, but I feel that some of them should stay.
-First Post and I tried to follow the rules so forgive me If I have messed up
-This is also assuming Halo 3 will be exactly like Halo 2
-No Tutorial of how to do the Glitch will be given as to not spread problems
Glitches That Should Be Removed:
A. Super bouncing
Reason: The ability to take a sniper in matchmaking and bounce practically eliminates any hope of another team, and because it is easy to master. It has become a widespread problem especially on ascension where in Slayer and Double team where the first team to super bounce has a near free win. There are other ways to the top of buildings that cannot usually be used in matchmaking
B. The Double Shot
Reason: This has the potential to become an ugly advantage nearly eliminating the fun rifle games. While this requires and INCREDIBLE amount of time to master, when it is mastered it is almost like carrying around a turret that can headshot.
Note -I respect anyone who has taken the time to master it, but it could become a horrible problem if it was used by more players.
C. Any form of Dummying
Reason: The ability of appearing in one place while being in another cannot be fair in any way. This also includes the ability to be seen holding certain weapons, while using others (such as holding two plasma pistols but being able to shoot a sniper rifle).
D. Any form of Auto Reload
Reason: Certain Glitches like the "Grenade Reload", close combat glitches (names withheld because they are the combinations themselves), ect. allow you to reload automatically while doing other things such as shooting. This is not a huge problem, it still is a glitch that can allow you to never have to manually reload.
E. Any form of Dual Nades
Reason: Dual Nade Glitches allow you to throw two grenades close to the time it usually allows for you to throw one. This can lead to a near instant kill using the two grenades you spawn with, but is not easily exploitable due to the fact of needing certain weapons and/or host abilities.
F. "Suicide shot" and "Instant Death"
Reason: The Suicide Shot allows individuals to kill themselves without penalty for any reason (primarily a better spawn). This could be an incredible problem considering how large some maps are, and a new ability to quickly transport near your team mates. The Instant Death Combination is an extension of the Suicide Shot that allows for a near instant kill. A Second Shot comes out of your original weapon after you have switched weapons, which is basically a dummying technique that is difficult but can prove useful.
Glitches that should Remain:
A. Melee cancel
Reason: Technically this is not a glitch, but plays into many other glitches. This should not be removed due to the fact that it provides players with the ability to Butterfly, and reach places normally not accessible. It can not be abused in matchmaking, because you cannot lunge at your teammates, only your enemy's and they will most likely not be willing to help.
B. The Quick Reload
Reason: The Quick Reload allows you to finish reloading about half a second before the average reload would take. This still plays into the game, because you have to wait until the weapon has ammo in it, and then can skip the rest of the animation. If you mess up, then you have to start all over again, which causes people to reload normally often.
C. The Reload Cancel
Reason: When reloading, sometimes it can be to your advantage to not finish reloading in favor of firing a couple more shots. This allows a more realistic ability to choose to stop reloading.
D. "The Double Melee" and the "Melee Fire"
Reason: The Double melee allows you the punch a split second faster than the average melee. It like the quick reload waits for the major objective, to be accomplished and skips the remaining animation allowing you to punch again. Also like the Quick reload, it has a risk and reward, if you cancel the animation too soon you will cancel the melee all together and be beat down before you realize you have messed up. This risk also applies to the melee fire which also requires a full clip making it a challenge of speed and having the necessary equipment to pull it off.
