You are absolutely retarded. I warn you two times already that modding is not cheating/hacking, and I told you that modding is okay in PC games because nobody uses them to cheat or have an advantage. Cheating is called cheating, hacking is called hacking, but not modding. Now you look like a huge retard again.

Lmao. Master Kim is right. But some people do use mods as an advantage. Like I was in Ice Fields once and this guy could walk on top of the cliffs, warp inside the base, grab the flag, and walk back and nobody could do anything about it. Pretty cheap when you dont tell other people how to use it.

I reiterate, not on PC gaming. Modding means modification, not necessarily cheating, and even then we just call it cheating or hacking, but not modding. Using the term maliciously is for Xbox Live, get it right. If mods are bad, then I guess the people who made Counter Strike should just hang themselves.

Also, don't double post. You know how to edit your posts so you should know well enough not to.

Maw

I mod, but not the kind where the pistol shoots fuel rods and such. I make things as realistic as possable.

Yay! I knew all modders weren't amateurs who made horribly unbalanced mods with flying warthogs that fire plasma grenades. I like balanced mods.

You guys are arguing over symantics. The original poster probably plays most of his games on a console. In the console world modding = cheating because modding an X-box is usually used for cheating.

That's what I'm trying to say. Modding on consoles and on PCs are two very different things!

Sorry to say, although I may have phrased it differently, Master Kim speaks for us all.

Mods do not work in Halo PC unless you are host, in which case they work for everyone, and as such no advantage can be gained.

And you think it isn't cool to have full scale AI wars on Bloodgulch, with scripted AI driving around intelligently and working with the infantry in a huge battle?

Cool stuff like that, comes from mods.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time. I know who you are. You are destiny.

Listen to Master Kim, he knows what he says. Modding in a computer and modding in an XBOX are completely different things.

[EDIT: Well, technically, modding CAN be used for cheating, but good players don't use it in that way. So don't refer to everyone as modding to be cheating, that is because all of here the gang posting here at The Maw are good sportmans, they won't use modding to cheat, although I've seen a few cheaters with mods. So I partly agree with you.]

Modding can be used for cheating actually, you could put a teleporter somewhere people do not know...

I agree, modding can be used to cheat. However, when a mod is unfairly balanced to one person or team, then it is considered and called a cheat. Modding so the changes affect everyone is not cheating.

But it's called modding for a reason. Modding is manipulating game content to expand and add game content. Hacking or cheating is manipulating game content to gain an unfair advantage over others in games. I misquoted those last two sentences from someone's signature, but you get my point.
