Subject: War Z on steam... full of Blatant lies to buyers...

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I feel bad for anyone that buys this game

Nowhere on the Steam description does it say that it's in Beta, they also lied about the majority of the key features of the day.

Joy.

This is assuming the person who buys it doesn't read up on the game before buying it.

EDIT:
Just thought I might post this, its pretty hilarious.

No I never bought the game but it isn't right to lie about people what is in the game currently and especially to not mention the game is in beta.

If possible you should report that to the steam moderator/staff. That is really bad for what war z has been doing, after reading up you find just how terrible the devs are for war z- they plan to drop it after 6 months if it doesn't get lots of hits.

I buy a bike because it gets me from point A to point B, helps with exercise and is also sort of fun to ride. I don't buy a bike because of all the shiny things that are put on it.
How is this any different? If you buy it, it will eventually be updated and because you purchased it you will have rights (unless strictly stated otherwise, you do have rights to this sort of content update). OP, are you just complaining for the sake of it?

People on steam are trying to get the game marked as fraud, get their money back, and some people are even proposing a large class action lawsuit for everyone who bought the game.

no one said the bike would come with shiny things, did they? also, the number of maps and how many people can play is generally quite important.

Honestly that sounds about right besides the lawsuit part, that may just be overkill seeing as steam is merely a 3rd part provider: whilst they should of researched the game, what they can research and find from the official site is incorrect. So most likely i'm expecting a removal from steam and refunds to everyone.

It still doesn't change the fact that you buy it to play a game. Are you going to complain that it doesn't tell you exactly what type of guns you can use in the game? It's a matter of extras; if you can actually play it, then the games purpose for the most part has been fulfilled. Yeah the extras are a dodgy method of getting more people, but why would someone lie about that? Seriously?

This world wants to drag you down... And the weight, that guilt they want to hang around your neck, you don’t have to carry it one more step. You think they won’t let you rest, but it’s not up to them. It never was.

they just did lie about it. I can see were you're coming from, that all this stuff is unimportant and we should just play it, but it's the fact that they lied that gets me. by the way, have you actually bought this game? I haven't.

The book is about how no matter what anyone did it was pretty much hopless to stop the virus. They were your everyday slow zombies but that didn't matter because we didn't know how ot handle them even with all we have but in the movie they are the hollywood fast zombies, wouldn't surpise me if they have different types of zombies.

Absolutely. If nothing was ever clearly stated, then there wouldn't be an argument here. When I go to purchase a car, I want a mode of transportation. That is my ultimate goal. Yet wen deciding which car to purchase, if the dealer says that one model comes with heated seats, leather interior, upgraded sound system, etc.. and that sways my decision toward that particular vehicle.. I would be pretty damn upset if it didn't come with those things as promised.

If you buy it based on steams description you could technically sue them for putting a false description.

It should do what is described if it doesn't its illegal.
