40k wiki? Seriously? That is not a valid source, even by the standards of wikis. I have seen more fan art and baseless claims on there then I care to remember.

Well then, tell me what the Nightbringer can do, and provide proof. It also says the same thing on the Lexicanum site.

Also, if the Nightbringer has a nervous system above 1 millimeter in scale, he can be killed by the Halo array.

Activates Halo array.

Next thread.

Oh you are right... I forgot that the Halo Arrays could kill the Necrons...
Silly me..
The Halo Arrays would only kill the Forerunners, you idiot.

*ULTRAHYPERMEGAFACEPALM*

You better get your facts straight, boy. If it as much thinks, the Halo Array kills it.

A standard Necron Warrior doesn't think

Pardon. As long as its sentient, it dies.

Now I dont care what retarded bull-blam!- as 'not thinking' 40k pulls out of their ass but there is no getting around the Halo Array unless your a goddamn inteligent as a virus.

Or you have some kind of protection, like a Shield World, or a universal condom.

Says the same thing.

And yes, he did retreat. And weakened means he can be killed. if it bleeds it dies, as they say.

He got weakend by a GOD. There is a difference between a GOD and some random soldier with high tech weapons.
He retreated to eat stars and gain power so he can kick everyones ass

High tech. High tech that is god-leveled. He was threatened by the a Melta bomb, and the idea of being trapped beneath the planet's crust. Forerunners could easily injure him and/or trap him.

He is weakend. I would love to see the Forerunners attempt to trap or injure Nightbringer when he has full power and ready to fight Gods again.

Well, I've gotta go, but I'd just like to say that "If it thinks it dies" by the Halo Array.

Necrons think. Nightbringer thinks. They die.

Look at all the facts that have been posted, especially that feat thread. Forerunners win this. Quit being a fanboy and man up.

So by your logic the Halo rings could kill the Chaos Gods because they think aswell? LOL nope

Thanos wins. He can only lose if he chooses to.

Sure is great arguing omnipotent characters from two entirely separate universes. It's my second favorite hobby after headbutting my friends until one of us passes out.

Oh, the Nightbringer?

Do you really want to bring that book into this?

Alright, well Necrons ships can take 100,000 years out of a star's life in a few seconds. They can then use all of that energy on weapons. Which could easily destroy any amount of forerunner ships.

Also, the recent Necron codex states that all C'tan are omnipotent. So yes, Nightbringer blinks, and the Forerunners disappear.

We should know better, because we are better.

While we are at it, there is this. High end 40k, sure, but why not. We always seem to skew upwards in these debates. I remember when Forerunners only put out teratonnes.

As for the Nightbringer, that is merely a shard of the true being. They are much weaker than the original, and they are controlled by high ranking Lords. Still, they (the shards) are said to be borderline omnipotent.

Every post whining about the weekly update delays it by 5 minutes.

well........ the c-tan and the necrons are basically tied together as the necrons are bound to them.

The necrontyr agreed to the c-tan agreement to become immortal in order to 1 up or at least get on the same level as the Old-ones. little did the necrontyr know that they would become mindless semi-sentiant mechanical beings bent to will of the c-tan and that is how the necrontyr became the necrons

Ah, yes, that thread would easily work for the Necrons seeing as how high up in the tech level the 'Crons are.

Is there any evidence that the Forerunners can go up to .75 C when they aren't in slipspace? If not, I don't see the Forerunners even being able to hit the 'Crons.

Also, a word on Necron fire power. A single Necron tombship sucked 100,000 years worth of energy out of a star in a couple of seconds. That's around 1.22e37 joules.

That's about 480,000 death stars worth of fire power from a single tomb ship. Or the ship could put all of that energy in the void shields.

If the forerunners just have petatons this is no match what so ever. Even exatons is insignificant.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Or you have some kind of protection, like a Shield World, or a universal condom.

Only the Forerunners would know how to build defenses against the Halo Array. The fact that a single controlled, half powered, test firing of one Halo destroyed Precursor constructs, deemed industructible by the Forerunners and Ancient Humanity, speaks volumes of what a full powered detonation of the entire Array could do.

It's a nice super weapon and all, but the Necrons can up the ante in the form of the Celestial Orrey.

The Celestial Orrery is a device located at the heart of the Necron Crownworld of Thanatos and is considered one of the galaxy's greatest treasures. It was crafted by the artisans of the Oruscar Dynasty long before the War in Heaven and is beyond any price in artistic value alone. This machine consists of a web of holograms and Necrodermis with the various tiny floating glowing lights representing a star in the galaxy. Each of these are recorded in an intricate matrix record that contains the locations of every star in the cosmos. An act that snuffs out any of these lights leads to its physical counterpart undergoing a supernova millennia before its time that destroys all the nearby worlds that circle it. Thus, the Celestial Orrery is capable of immense destructive power but the act of destroying a star must be done with careful consideration as it would as it would upset the natural order of the cosmos that could create a critical chain reaction. Through further manipulation can any imbalance be rectified and returned to proper balance though this can take thousands of years of constant precise micromanagement. Page 15 of the Necron Codex

Not only does this allow the extermination of the entire galaxy, but it is much less of a danger to the Necrons than the Array is to the forerunners.

Nonsense!

I think all of you underestimate how obscenely powerful everything in the WH40K universe is. I don't even play the game that much and I know that pretty much anything in Halo doesn't stand a chance.
Now, Star Wars, on the other hand...

Extremely few universes can take on the the Necrons. Even fewer can take on the C'tan.

Now, a show down between the Empire and the IoM would be quite interesting.

I'd be curious to see about the Necron vs. the Xeelee, though I think the Xeelee could win that just by shear numbers.

Necrons are machines. The Halo Array doesn't destroy machinery.
