Subject: Why wasn't Halo 4 more like this...

...and less like the messy soap opera it tried so hard to be?

It's only messy if you're a retard who couldn't be bothered to pay attention.

I believe some people didn't pay enough attention. Ever heard of space magic? Yeah, take that away from the Halo 4 equation and the plot rapidly disintegrates and stops making sense.

Because a weapon that destroys all intelligent life while leaving everything else intact is totally not space magic.

Not at the ridiculous scale that Halo 4 took it.

No, it is not. We currently have weapons that function with microwaves that "burn" flesh without harming even clothing.

  • 12.18.2012 9:53 AM PDT

While I was watching The Package, I heard what I thought was Master Chief saying,"Optimize for mobility"; and then the things they were riding on extended their wings. In space, wouldn't you have more mobility by having a more center moment of inertia? By extending mass outwards in space, it becomes increasingly hard to rotate. How does that make for better mobility?

  • 12.18.2012 10:00 AM PDT

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

Because The Package sucked.

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

Spartans have done that several times in the past in both the books as well in halo 2, 3 and reach. Their armor can lock itself up to take impacts like that.

What you really should be asking is how the hell do you 'digitize' biological life, that whole concept just came out of nowhere and is kind of rediculous.

The same people ceated a giant ring-like planet that destroys everything that lives. There was no space magic involved in Halo 4, they are Forerunners after all.

Deceleration alone would be fatal. 'Locking up' does nothing to help you survive the sudden dissipation of 1.6-2.25 MILLION JOULES of KE.

I can easily suspend my disbelief and accept that MJOLNIR can resist reentry heat, but hitting the ground at over a hundred miles per hour? Try getting hit by a concrete slab travelling at a jet airliner's takeoff speed and see how you feel afterwards.

Because that is a universal answer to most everything in Video Game production.

I don't see you doing anything to help our country.
Except sitting at home, naked, eating twinkies, rubbing your hands together going "Heh. Target Destroyed. Mission Accomplished." Oh wait. that's not helping.

I'm willing to bet neither of you understand a thing past the Chief and Cortana love story. If you didn't read the books it is impossible to understand, hell the games don't go with the books regardless.

Probably because The Package was a cheesy terribly written piece of work.

Booster Frames?? That can take down Seraphs?? With convenient energy shielding and pop-up Warthog turrets in the back just in case you need them.

I hate that animation and you've opened up an old wound that I had almost forgotten about. Today now sucks!

Such as...... the point-blank nuke blast being somehow averted (despite hearing and seeing it for a split second somehow).

Didact conveniently being able to control INSTANTLY his own guards there to stop people reaching him and him getting out, complete with magic space armor that was just..... what.... lying around?

The Chief and Cortana fire a single missile from a Frigate at one of three CCS cruisers and manage to destroy it. What now team? Oh thank goodness some massive spinning thing has sucked the others in. Phew.

The more I think about H4 the more the storyline seems worse and worse.

if halo 4 was like that i would have been very very disappointed
