Subject: Why wasn't Halo 4 more like this...

Your logic makes no sense. If you're in a wrecked ship (or even half of one) with no chance of retreat or extraction, where are you gonna run? If you've got three superior enemy vessels facing you off which can outrun you, outmanoeuvre you and outgun you why wouldn't you do whatever you can do even the odds?

Taking out one of those three ships gives you more chance of survival than keeping your only available weapon to yourself because you can't kill the other two.

What else could he have done?

Use stealth and infiltrate one of the ships. Stealth is a lot better than screaming "I'm over here and I just killed a bunch of your buddies!".

If the portal hadn't opened up, those two other ships would have instantly destroyed the wreck of the Dawn. Firing that missile was utterly pointless and reduced the Chiefs chances of survival.

But again thats bad writing for you.

Missile-defense Pulse lasers would have vaporized Chief. The nuke only got through because it was huge.

Boarding a Covie vessel is widely considered to be impossible unless you can distract it first with another warship, or cripple it.

Also if he did board it, the Covies would rather commit ritual suicide/fratricide than see their own ship fall to the humans.

Especially the man they consider to be Satan.

You guys are so deluded its not even funny. Since when was ANYTHING in Halo possible? The Gravemind being able to teleport itself onto high-charity wasn't space magic at all was it? Or how about the fact that the whole franchise is based on a ring that can wipe out sentient life exclusively on a galactic scale?!

Jesus you guys are hilarious. Also Halo legends was awful.

It's called science fiction champ. Not fantasy. There needs to be at least some sort of reasonable explanation for things grounded in science.

Magic is impossible. Ships that fly through space is possible.

Agree about Legends. Except for Origins it was a load of trash.
You are not quite getting that there really is no grand explanation for the rings; they are ancient artifacts that can wipe out every living sentient being in a galaxy and the only reason they exist and work is because an ancient race that was intelligent beyond our comprehension built them. In other words Space magic!

I honestly don't really care about this but if the Halo rings are possible being able to digitise ones conciousness into a combat AI doesn't seem too alien to the franchise.

The only part I will give you on the grounds of space magic is the Nuke and in all honesty it wasn't that bad, at least it had some logical backing.
