The CEO is the head of CFA, he IS CFA. Any profit that CFA makes goes to him. What he does with it is completely fair and legal. If he didn't own the money, who does? Whatever money is leftover after all expenses are made is for the CEO to do what he wants with. If he wants to give money to WinShape, it's completely his choice cause it IS his money.

Boycotting only hurts the little man. If a store gets boycotted and the rest of the chain is doing strong, they'll just close down the store and fire everyone there. "The Hate Machine" still continues as you put it. If you really wanted to stick it to the man, you're going to need a national movement to boycott every CFA in the nation. Problem for you is, their service, and their food is really top notch quality.

Posted by: MadMax888
I've been seeing this for a while now. The fundraising arm of CFA is WinShape, which used CFA money to donate to organizations. It was not the CEO's personal money.
No. All of the CFA revenue is not the same as his personal bank account. If CFA made $10m, that doesn't mean the CEO made $10m.

People boycotting Chic-fil-A is just stupid. A company that openly says it's Christian and closes on Sundays says they believe marriage is between a man and a woman, and people blam their pants over it.
CFA and other companies are more than welcome to their beliefs. However, when the money they make goes toward making Americans less equal, I stop going there.

How come CFA couldn't be like In-n-out? In-n-out is an openly Christian company, but they don't donate money to anti-LGBT organizations.
Like me and a couple of other people were talking about on the last few pages, didn't they stop that? If so, why are you guys still boycotting them?

Why boycott EA?

They make the best games....
No, they publish games.

Madden?
NHL?
NCAA?
My mistake. They publish good games and release the same crap year after year.

Unless he starts replacing his chicken with fecal matter, what he does with his money is of no concern or interest to me.

Likewise, consumers can do with their money what they want. If they decide they don't like a corporation for any reason at all they don't have to pay for that corporation's services.

  • 12.18.2012 1:37 PM PDT

Then what happens to that $10m? Who owns it? CFA? That's a company, made up of millions of people. The head decides what to do with the money since he owns CFA and that's CFA profit. Profit does NOT have to go towards furthering the company. If the CEO wants to use the profit that HIS company made for what he wants, it's still fair game.

Fair enough they do track you wherever you go, chrome being the worst offender(ff masterrace). However there is no such thing as anonymity on the internet. Everything you do is recorded by your isp and your mac address and ip is logged by everysite you go onto anyway.

As such i don't particularly see an issue if google finds out i've been spending a long amount of time on furaffinity forums, or that i've been researching how to build costumes.
That's true, unfortunately. I really fail to see why someone need to be monitored if they have done nothing wrong. I try to keep things as private as possible for me though. I got my Firefox set up to block the http referer, javascript, cross site requests, and cookies unless I allow it, delete LSO cookies by the second, block all ads, and use https only.

Same i have exact settings on my firefox to avoid 3rd party sites tracking me once i've left their website, google places a tracking cookie on you once you activate chrome. It's perfectly fine if these companies want to track me when i'm using their service, but once i leave it should stop. At one point my youtube suggestion box was filled with how to make fursuit videos, all because i was interested in how to make a cosplay costume.

If i was to say i have boycotted a product it would have to be google chrome, it truly follows you everywhere you go- spybot detects its software and removes it for me but still i avoid their search engine.
Also windows 8 i've boycotted, never going to touch that horrific OS again.

Because the damage is already done. They've already donated millions to a cause that keeps Americans unequal. I have no interest in doing business with a company that supports discrimination.

Papa Johns.

I hate the fact that he would rather lay off employees than raise the cost of his pizza. And then to go on the news and say it. Sooo stupid. The crappy quality of their pizza is a secondary reason I boycott them.

The thing is, stirring up controversy is a GREAT way to get customers. Protests can easily be seen as free marketing for any company.

I never understood this line. It's an absolute in of itself. It made me raise an eyebrow in the movie theater.

Agreed, but if it's true, then it isn't an absolute, I guess.

Still, the Revenge's writing wasn't perfect either.

Fair enough, though I can't say I really agree with it. It makes sense to boycott when they were still donating to anti-same sex groups, but now, all you're doing is just giving less revenue to them, which let's face it, is going to hurt the average worker there before it will hurt the guys at the top. I guess one can always hope that CFA will pull a complete 180 and start donating in support of same sex groups, but I don't see that happening anytime soon unfortunately.Posted by: TwistedDippy666
