Okay, so what are your votes for GOTY?
No, I'm not adding a poll, because that would make the thread die more quickly than an elephant in the ocean.
First off, I'll go with what I thought about some games.
Assassin's Creed 3: I was really excited for this game, and it really disappointed me. The game told a story I already knew, but with an extra character or two thrown in the middle. The characters were unlikable, and the whole game came off as mediocre at best. They changed the controls from the other three games, which were fine as they were. It was confusing for the first few minutes, when I had to remember that X wasn't counter. There were some points in the game that I felt I was pushing myself to keep playing, expecting it to get better...and it didn't. The ending also was a massive suckfest.
I give this game a 4/10.
Mass Effect 3: I'll straight up say up front, I never finished the campaign of this game. The action got extremely repetitive, and I couldn't bring myself to enjoy it after an hour or so of gameplay. Though the addition of multiplayer kept it alive for several months for me. It was a cool addition, and it wasn't like other survival modes, where you just sit and shoot. There's objectives spread throughout, and it makes you move around. Multiplayer with friends, quite enjoyable. Campaign, I didn't finish because it was so repetitive (also happened with Bioshock). And with an incomplete game...I give you.
This game receives a 5/10.
Borderlands 2: This game has kept me entertained every time I have started it up, and has memorable characters. I still play it quite frequently, and will be my vote for GOTY. In fact, I'm going to stop writing my reviews, and go play it right now.
10/10, GG guys.
