Nothing makes me more mad than morons who keep sharing and posting images about "Protect my Guns". Honestly, you're what's wrong with this country. If you wanna argue the constitution, I can pull about 300 words and phrases that are hopelessly ambiguous and could be argued obstinately for decades (see -blam!- RIGHTS), and the "right to bear arms" is one of the easiest to define. Everyone has the right to bear a gun, not an ASSAULT RIFLE. Where does the constitution say that you can, and MUST, own the biggest and "most awesome" gun possible to defend your house? Nowhere. You can own a gun, it never promised you a high-powered killing machine. The wording was done vaguely to allow the government to act accordingly and to regulate the right to bear arms. You aren't entitled to automatic weapons, only "guns". Your "rights" that are being attacked, aren't really being attacked, only maintained.
And just because everybody has the right or privilege, doesn't mean everyone can/should be given one. Everybody has the right to drive a vehicle IF they have a license. Now, by your flawed logic, this is an impingement of our rights! We should all be given the Keys at birth! And why can't I drive a Bus? Or a Tractor Trailer? Am I the only one who finds this to be absurd logic? The need for a different license shows the governments use of it's ability to regulate our rights and privileges.
I'm by no means a Democrat or a Republican, and I wouldn't even label myself as a "Moderate". I'm just an educated citizen, sickened by the rhetoric that's been thrown around Social Media. Feel free to roll around in the political BS and propaganda all you want, but sharing it constantly, with no understanding of the real legal process or the extent of your "rights" as set out by the US Constitution.
