Subject: Wanna Stop Shootings? Be a Better Parent...

Want to help stop shootings? We as a country need to start educating people on how to be a better parent.

If a parent has any child in the house, no matter the age, they should lock up their guns to prevent said child from getting a gun. My parents have done it for Fifteen years and I just now found out we had a gun from hearing my parents talk.

Parents need to educate their own kids about what is real and not real. I watched Terminator 2 when I was 9 years old. Seem bad? I played M rated games at age 11. I saw violence at TV since I was 6, yet from the age of 4 my parents always told me about what was fake, and what was real. They educated me on the repercussions on killing someone, the mental effects, everything.

If you want to stop school shootings, and just shootings in general, be a good parent. Educate others to be good parents. Maybe as a country we can help do this. Maybe parenting classes for expecting parents? It won't stop the situation completely, but it will help greatly reduce a lot of shootings.

If good looks could kill, I'd be a weapon of mass destruction.

Q: Hey, what did Hitler say to the black jew?
A: Get to the back of the oven.

But I'm not a parent yet.

True, but being a better, more attentive parent means that these people with mental issues would likely have received the proper care they need.

Of course it helps a lot with good parenting, but it doesn't "cure" mental illness. You can still snap.

This.

Sir, a killer will kill whether or not guns are legal. A man killed 217 people with an oil truck, fertilizer, and a standard lighter.

What (in my opinion) should be done, is mental testing in school. Test and see if anyone has a mental illness, or has any signs of anything. If that is the case, proper treatment should be made (such as seeing a therapist).

Yes. I know that. But those people who would "snap" often show plenty of signs, and a good parent would know what to look for since they would have been to the doctor.

It's not like you go from 1 day of "gee, i'm happy" to "i'm gonna shoot people" the next.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.” – Psalms 46:1-3

However true that may be.

Mental illness is not always something someone is born with.

It can be caused by many things.

Trauma.

Abuse. Physical and mental.

Drug usage ( major cause these days) (especially psychotropic drugs)

I'm a pretty decent entrepreneur. Once all these people started dropping from shooting sprees, I bought stock in all the graveyards around my state while supporting the NRA and giving endorsements to "M" rated videogames.

See me on the Forbes 100 in a few years.
