Remember what Sergeant Vau told us: Eat your vegtable capsules.

Anyone know how to delete playlists and songs off a 5th Generation Ipod Nano? I just got around to downloading iTunes and such on my newest computer, and haven't used my iPod since I was a lot younger because I thought I had lost all my purchases, and now want to get rid of some of the playlists and things I don't want anymore. Thanks!

EDIT- I think I've solved my problems. Thanks!

Have you tried plugging it into your computer then restarting your computer?

Let me know if that works, thanks.

For some reason, I feel like that's a bad idea. But I did restart my computer after I downloaded it, and I can't/can't find a way to delete songs/playlists.

Hmm . . . I think that's 'cause it is.

Well, you can unselect songs from your Library and, when your iPod is connected, choose to "sync only selected songs and playlists" or something. And re-sync, which will sync only what you've selected.

You could also try connecting your device, and going to it in iTunes and try and find someway to remove music located on it.

I've had this problem before. There was an issue with my iTunes so I had to delete my iTunes and redownload it.

Let me know if this works for you.

I was used to the way I ran my old iTunes, and unchecked everything, and now it won't let me re-check. Help?

Assuming you're using the latest version of iTunes, 11 or something.

Selecting music is just like always, with the checkboxes to the left-most of your Song Library (Music tab > Songs tab).

You're going to have to choose your own Syncronizing options under you iPod tab, when you have your device connected, though. Quite sure it's not difficult to find.

Ok, I've got it, but I've found that for some reason I can't delete playlists because they're only on my Ipod, but not my iTunes, and I'm not sure how to transfer them. I've also unchecked and synced and deleted the songs from my Icloud that I don't want, and they were not removed either.
