Subject: So will the "New Hawtness" fix the quote button?

Because as much as Achronos will adamantly defend putting the quote BENEATH your response, 99% of the forumgoers don't do so.

Will we finally not be forced to delete that annoying space when Bungie.net is overhauled? Or will quoting continue to be mildly inconvenient for us all?

  • 12.19.2012 6:32 AM PDT

I see nothing wrong with it. I personally don't mind it.

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

I stopped caring about the little things, the darkness has shown me that there is more to life than being annoyed at differences.

With that said if you post above you're stupid.

The guy above me is stupid.

There should automatically be a quote when you click reply, you shouldn't have to press two buttons.

That edit made me laugh my ass of for a few seconds and I don't know why.

And yeah, it's really not something super concerning, but it's still just a little dumb in my opinion. Seems like the change was made as a sort of "my way is the right way now matter what!" thing.

Problem with this is that most people don't click the reply button next to a post to reply directly to that person. They do so to reply to the thread itself. It would probably annoy a lot of people that way.

That's why you have a quick reply box at the bottom of the page.

Well then it would be appropriate, but you didn't mention that originally.

I thought it was obvious, because that's what every other forum does.

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

I think all quoting should have to be done manually. None of this easy push-of-a-button stuff.

Honestly though it never bothered me, besides it's working by design. Achronos design. After he's in charge and notoriously posts above quotes.

So we shouldn't do it because it's easier?

It's not the difficult to delete the space. Are you really so lazy that you can't delete a simple character of space when you're about to type?

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

There's a userscript for that.
Though I do think it would be cool if it was implemented as a site feature instead of something else.
Also, I post my reply to a quote below it because I normally read the English language left to right, and top to bottom.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

I'm not in that 99%.

You have no rights as we all do. We exist in a jelly semi fluid state here on b.net.

But i find it funny that in this post you complain about somthing so trival.

Me thinks you spend too much time inside bond with other bungie net people or go make new freinds even hang out with old ones.

What are you people going on about me complaining? I'm not complaining, just pointing out a mild inconvenience. I've dealt with it since it was added. I won't lose any sleep over it. Calm down.

Because you can't say anything bad against the almighty Bungie bro.

To make a good comparison Bungie are the -blam!-s and their fanboys are the -blam!- youth. Complete fascism.

If it was for people like you we would still be stuck in the stone age.

Humm i was busy ? Oh you were complaining again. OK pick a new battle this one was lost right on the OP post.

Also constructive criticism is not the same as a complaint if you are referring to the stone ages. Right where you are at in the complaint section.

I speak for the 99% silent majority who probably agree that this is a pointless topic. That it is to stir up things or see how the wind blows. Well you just found out.

>Improvements suggested
>Pointless

With the way these fanboys act when something new is suggested Bungie.next will come out and be exactly the same as the site already is.

This place reminds me of a hippy communion.
