Subject: Nintendo may milk their series,

but unlike 343, treyarch, or infinity ward, almost every single game they release in the main franchises (mario and zelda mainly) is excellent. When is the last time they released a bad mario or bad zelda game? I can't think of any bad zelda games accept the CD-I games, which weren't really made by nintendo.

Only Zelda game I hated was Zelda II. Aside from that they've all been amazing. Same with Mario.

You missed Ubisoft, also the companies you mentioned other than Halo are all annual release titles.

They don't care about quality just get them out the door and the hardcore fanbase will praise it no matter what.

Nintendo games always play well, look great and sound fantastic.

They really polish their games.

Pikmin 3!

I sincerely hope you're joking. Based on your recent post history this just hasn't been your day it would seem.

Far Cry 3 was the first Ubisoft game I bought in years . . . after Chaos Theory, they went downhill.

Assassin's Creed? I'll address that momentarily.

also the companies you mentioned other than Halo are all annual release titles.
That makes no sense. perhaps you meant that the companies release titles in their series annually. Which is still inaccurate; Treyarch and IW take two years on each project.

They don't care about quality just get them out the door and the hardcore fanbase will praise it no matter what.
Hah. I bet you're one of those people who think that Assassin's Creed was 'milked' after II's wild success, when in fact the current schedule of the franchise has been in planned since 2008, a year before that game launched. It's just that, shock horror, Ubisoft had a ton of ideas to explore and wanted to try them out. Heaven forbid a developer actually try pushing themselves to the limit.

And, for the record, I think ACIII is the series' worst game in years; it's buggy, slightly tedious and full of unnecessary changes that Ubisoft implemented just for change's sake.

So are you saying that Sonic games have more depth and polish than Nintendo titles? Because Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog '06, Sonic Unleashed, etc were god-awful. This is coming from someone who typically loved Sonic. Generations was a breath of fresh air but is still nowhere near as good as Mario Galaxy was by a landslide. That's just not really debatable if you look at things like glitches, reviews, etc.

Tartan not only did revelations have next to nothing new gameplay wise invalidates your "They wanted to try out new idea's".

Also they claim they work better when they need to get a game out every year, the fact is sure they work better because they do less work in the long run since they copy and paste.

IW and Treyarch while have 2 years development time the only CoD games I see changing is Treyarch's while IW hasn't changed at all.

Also there was around 5 mario games released either last year or this year, if that's something to be happy with then you need to rethink what you want in a game.

1) He doesn't even look like a hedgehog

2) Only the first two installments in the franchise were actually reasonably good

You may grow up with a company's games, but you will have to admit their downfall if it becomes as obvious as Nintendo's has.

Well shouldn't a games quality matter?

  • 12.19.2012 7:37 AM PDT

Basia Basiliscum Meum

how many times have they released the EXACT same game(save for the graphics)

how many times was OOT rebooted?

can Nintendo possibly beat their dead horses even more?

But their downfall wasn't the quality of their games. It was the scarcity of quality games that made my Wii collect dust.

of course it does but i didn't bring it up you did and it had no relation to my other post, i honestly don't see the big problem of me preferring Sonic the hedgehog over Mario
