You can't release a bad mario game when it exactly the same now as when it first released.

There also hasn't been a bad Halo game to date anyway.

at what point did i bring up the quality of the games ? it's just my personal preference, also i prefer the characters of the Sonic franchise over Mario
Well shouldn't a games quality matter?

of course it does but i didn't bring it up you did and it had no relation to my other post, i honestly don't see the big problem of me preferring Sonic the hedgehog over Mario
There isn't a big problem. It just says something about your character. Something I'll be sure to keep in mind when I see you post in the future.

You always get so defensive and always assume someone's trying to offend you. Don't flatter yourself.

But their downfall wasn't the quality of their games. It was the scarcity of quality games that made my Wii collect dust.
The Wii was an innovative product, but Kinect has trampled on it (even when Kinect itself was horrendous at first) and the Wii U is an appalling attempt at a revival.

While the Wii U has a 549 MHz GPU, the PS3 has a 550 MHz GPU.
It has a faster GPU speed than the Xbox 360's 500 MHz, but is that good enough for an eight-generation video game console?

Sonic is better
I sincerely hope you're joking. Based on your recent post history this just hasn't been your day it would seem.

no i prefer the Blue hedgehog over the Italian plumber, have you got a problem with that ?
So are you saying that Sonic games have more depth and polish than Nintendo titles? Because Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog '06, Sonic Unleashed, etc were god-awful. This is coming from someone who typically loved Sonic. Generations was a breath of fresh air but is still nowhere near as good as Mario Galaxy was by a landslide. That's just not really debatable if you look at things like glitches, reviews, etc.

You're right, Shadow and 06 were awful.

Unleashed? It was brilliant.
Colours? Brilliant
Generations? Brilliant
Adventure 1, 2 and Sonic heroes? Brilliant
Sonic 1,2 3 and knuckles? Excellent?

Yes, mario games are good. But I vastly prefer Sonic over Mario.

Some of the responses in this thread are gold. I don't know how some of you can say you aren't fanboys.

Nintendo games are usually pretty quality. I think Super Mario 3D Land was my favorite first-party game over the past three or four years actually. Nintendo Land really surprised me too, it's a lot of fun, and it's immensely better than it looked at E3. Even Skyward Sword, which a lot of people were down on, was still a well made game, and I personally prefer it to Twilight Princess (which was kind of forgettable to me).

And if anyone with a Wii doesn't own Sin & Punishment 2, then I feel bad for you.

That was then. And you can strap up your Wii and put your Mario back on. But that doesn't make you what you were.

The gamers need Nintendo! Your resources, your knowledge. It doesn't need your Wii U, or your milk. That time has passed.

not ''may''. They do milk their series.
And old super mario was 1000000x better
Mario Galaxy 2.

Super Mario World, Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario 64>Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the last good Mario game, haven't play NSMB U or the new Paper Mario yet, though.

Adventure 1
Adventure 2
Sonic Heroes
Unleashed
Colours
Generations.

None of those are more enjoyable than the original 2D versions.

By the gods what are you doing here, well don't just stand there man make the tea! Make yourself useful and look at my Fileshare.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

You can't really argue something so subjective. You can easily find as many negative or "un-impressed" views on the latest Mario or Zelda as you can on the latest COD or Halo. The difference between the two is the expectation. People (typically) expect little of Mario outside of solid platforming, and Zelda is expected to be formulaic. Halo and COD fans can often be terribly unreasonable, demanding change and improvements and then immediately turning around and -blam!-ing because changes were made.

"Consistent quality" is in the eye of the beholder.

I don't even feel like posting, you're simply an undying Nintendo fan.
Nintendo is ashes.
I guess that's why the Wii U sales are through the roof.

I haven't play MG2

Mario 64 and Sunshine were great though, so was mario kart (all iterations) and the gameboy versions of super mario.

The only mario game I've been displeased with was Paper Mario.

but unlike 343, treyarch, or infinity ward, almost every single game they release in the main franchises (mario and zelda mainly) is excellent. When is the last time they released a bad mario or bad zelda game? I can't think of any bad zelda games accept the CD-I games, which weren't really made by nintendo.

Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, Mario Galaxy 2, Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Soccer, etc

  • 12.20.2012 7:05 AM PDT

Yet I dislike all Nintendo games... Each and every "new" one they com out with.

In my opinion, they usually all suck.

Especially Mario!

I do like the sonic games though.

Mario Galaxy is supposed to be amazing. Mario sunshine was great, mario soccer was great...

You've got a point with Mario and sonic, but then again, that's a 3d sonic game...

More jumping on the band wagon, when there are arguably only 2 bad 3d sonic games.
