It's a good game. I liked it more than Halo 3, but it's nowhere near Halo: CE&2- quality.

Completely disagree. The Focus Rifle is incredibly useful. It's a long range suppression/assist weapon, not a Covenant sniper rifle like the Beam Rifle. It's still a lethal weapon though, and it's one of my favorite weapons from Reach.

It had good Firefight, Forge, and Invasion was cool.

The rest of it sucked.

Random and gimmicky up the ass.

Just like Halo 4.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

Met the bar of general quality for a AAA title. I got sick of it pretty fast though, mostly because multiplayer always felt like work.

I liked it. I never understood why it got so much flak.

Terrible compared to Halo 3. Great Compared to Halo 4.

It was good, but the worst Halo game.

If you would have done this poll before Halo 4 was released, the results would be the opposite.

I had fun the first few weeks playing Invasion, but it just didn't have the feel that the beta did, and I stopped playing rather quickly.

Bad for a Halo game, but decent on its own.

Halo 3 is where the morons of the universe congregates.

I am thinking of an old story. "Three Billy Goats Gruff" (hint the troll dies at the end)

If you had an electron microscope, you still couldn't find the -blam!- I don't give.

Bungie doesn't like French on their site.

It was good. Lots of things to play. Good maps.

x_*x Blame Stosh

I voted "It was meh". I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign, and Forge was spectacular, but I just couldn't enjoy the multiplayer. Because of the iffy balance and terrible maps, I didn't even purchase one DLC pack.

All in all, I agree with the statement that it was good as a game, but bad as a Halo game.

Fantastic campaign, top tier as far as the series is concerned. Campaign drop kicked 3's.

Final mission could not have been better. Well done Bungie.

I could not disagree more about it being a good campaign. Not going into detail as to why, though, as I have many times before.

My problems with it:
Both:
-Sprint should have been default.

-Focus Rifle: That is one of the most useless weapons I used in a video game. The only thing it was really designed to do was lower shield. The only time it's useful is when you have infinite ammo in Firefight.

-Plasma Repeater: It's just about as useless as the Focus Rifle. There was no point of having it when the Plasma Rifle is pretty much the same thing, but more powerful.
_______________________
Campaign:
-The AI was completely useless. They couldn't drive or kill. If I let the AI drive I'm dead. If I let them gun I'm dead. Jun has this thing called a sniper rifle which is used at long distances. But he uses it at shotgun range.

-I know the games override the books. But I do not like how the game took a giant -blam!- on the Fall of Reach novel. It's sad they had to rewrite the novel and you have to read Halsey's journal for Reach to make sense.

-I hated the story. You had no clear objective at all until you retrieved Cortana near the end of the game. And that's when the game actually gets a plot to it. The only thing you were doing was being Colonel Hollands term for a female dog.
_______________________
Firefight:
It went form a survival/see how long you can go. To a point whoring fest. The majority of the maps are not made for holding up a location. They are made for running around and seeing how many points you can get.
_______________________
Multiplayer:
-The vehicles are made out of something weak, like paper mache...or Raditz...

-Sword block: It's one of the dumbest game mechanics I seen in a game. The Energy Sword is a one hit kill anywhere on the body, but as soon as someone puts their arm up. It magically stops it from killing them.

-The majority of the default multiplayer maps are campaign areas. I don't care that they were designed first and built into the campaign. It's incredible lazy and unoriginal.

-Bloom: It's just one big derp of a system. It wouldn't be so bad if it was a recoil effect that you can control. Like the SMG in Halo 3. If you fired it it traveled up your screen(I believe that's how the DMR was in the beta.) or like the FAL in Black OPS. It's pretty accurate when you paced it, but when you spammed it. The weapon moved all over your screen. Any of those 2 things allows the player to control it and to know where the bullets are ending up, but bloom is completely random. Instead of reducing spam it increased it.

-I like the idea of armor abilities, but Bungie screwed them up:
*Sprint should have been default.

*Armor Lock was one of the worst things you can add to a game.

*The drop shield should have worked like this. It would basically act like AL, but you would deploy the shield instead. Which means you can't move while it's activated.

-The DLC was not wroth buying at all. Anybody that bought them got screwed. They removed the DLC playlist which was the only real way to play on the map pack maps. Having a DLC map come up in the non-DLCplaylist is next to impossible. They should have done what they did with Halo 3. Which was have playlist that required the DLC.

I basically agree with most of this, especially about campaign and multiplayer. I will say one thing positive for Reach. It seems to be the most fully loaded Halo of all of them. Forge and Firefight.

It was great until 343 stepped in, they had the right idea to have a title update playlist but then they -blam!- everything up
