Subject: So I'm listening to Symphony 9

I have never really paid attention to classical music before. However, I was listening to the OST of a movie that just recently came out, and one of the songs said it was from Beethoven #9. So I decided to look it up and all I can say is "WOW". I 100% believe the Music Masters when they say this is the greatest piece of music ever written.

I'm still listening to it, I'm going threw the whole 65 minutes. This is just amazing. Anyone else feel the same way about this particular piece of music?

I haven't particularly listened to as much classical as I should, though I have listened to Chopin's Nocturne 55 no. 1 quite a lot because it has a dark waltz feel.

I don't think Beethoven 9 is the best piece ever written, but it is undeniably one of the most influential symphonies ever composed.

Don't punch a British kid, the queen'll come after you.

I prefer romantic period stuff and impressionist composers but this is good too.

Ode to Joy is part of Beethoven's 9th Symphony, fourth movement. So.... he's on your level.

And OT, I am one of those people who believes that Beethoven's 9th is the greatest musical composition ever written. I listen to it while working, all four movements, frequently.

I listen to orchestral music a lot whilst studying. It helps me to concentrate. Well, except Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.

9th Symphony is an amazing piece for going to sleep, or studying, or just casual listening.

I won't pretend I'm a huge classical music enthusiast, but I will say my favorite symphony is Dvorak's New World symphony. /opinion
