From up here the city lights burn like a thousand miles of fire

if you wanted to find that out, go play call of duty for about an hour. then you'll know if it makes kids more aggressive or not

A real test of a man is if he is willing to scrape a sharpened razor up and down his junk just to please a woman.

If you're going to say videogames are the cause of shootings, how come every kid who plays videogames doesn't go on a shooting?

No thought required, just spawn and GOOOOOOOOOOO

And the Secret Service says that there is NO link between videogames and violence.

Just goes to show that you have no idea what you are talking about.

Over half of the attackers demonstrated some interest in violence, through movies, video games, books, and other media (59 percent, n=24). However, there was no one common type of interest in violence indicated. Instead, the attackers interest in violent themes took various forms.
Explanation
-Approximately one-quarter of the attackers had exhibited an interest in violent movies (27 percent, n=11).
-Approximately one-quarter of the attackers had exhibited an interest in violent books (24 percent, n=10).
-One-eighth of the attackers exhibited an interest in violent video games (12 percent, n=5).
-The largest group of attackers exhibited an interest in violence in their own writings, such as poems, essays or journal entries (37 percent, n=15).

Also, Correlation does not imply causation

I still find it odd that people don't believe that spending hundreds of hours shooting or otherwise killing people/animals/aliens/etc. in a simulated environment influences behavior in some way.

It just seems like common sense.
I agree.

The study, published in the journal Developmental Psychology, involved 1,492 adolescents at eight high schools in Ontario, 51 per cent of whom were female and 49 per cent male.

Also noted is this was not a field test, but rather a "survey" they handed out to schools. When I got a survey in high school I made smiley faces out of the scan-tron or answered with false information. The article pretty much told me that you should always read something before claiming its true.

Can I join in on that?

This study was about intelligence in general and says that "People who play video games performed 'significantly better' in terms of both reasoning and short-term memory." The three fields of intelligence are reasoning, short-term memory, and verbal abilities btw.

It also had 100,000 participants.

Their environment and how they are raised play a bigger role in their behavior than a video game.

What? Got something against Yetis?

This study was pretty much a survey. And surveys are typically the least accurate way to portray a population, especially with kids. Too many confounds are present for me to take this study too seriously.

Some things in this World you just can't explain; but that doesn't mean they are any less true, just that you have to chose to believe in them.

One, two, Pinkie's... Coming for you...
Three, four... You will breath no more...
Five, six... Gotta add it to the mix...
Seven, eight... Gonna bake cupcakes...
Nine, ten... You're my very best friend...

Wowzers!

Big surprise!

100% of school shooters were alive during the shooting.

Ban being alive.

I am not aggressive at all and I have played tons of video games in my life. Infact, if it wasn't for video games, I would probably have followed my friends and got drunk and party all the time. Having VGs as my hobby made it easy for me to make the choice to stay home and pplay them.
Now my friends are in jail and I'm in college when I thought I never would be.

I can tell you that as a person who grew up playing games like Halo, it has had absolutely no negative affect on me. It only affects those negatively who dont realize that it is just a game.

Stuff.

Stupid ones perhaps. I'm not very aggressive, and I know many much more aggressive people who don't play video games.
