Along with a toilet?

Yes. Of course.

I really don't see the benefit. I can pee just fine in the toilet.

If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

Brighten your day with science.

Methew, you make a lot of "People should", "Why don't people", "The government should make People" threads, jut deal with the fact that some people have the right to choose not to do something.

Their reasons are irrelevant.

Waste of space, time, money. You already have a toilet.

Then why do business have urinals in their restrooms?

Use watersaving flush.
You'll have to explain that one too me.

Or leave it

if it's yellow let it mellow
if it's brown flush it down.

I remember that slogan when Arizona was in a drought.

People aren't going to bother. Especially once it starts to stand and get really stanky.

Implying that I'm being serious all of the time?

It saves money on water/waste when compared to a toilet. It doesn't save nearly as much if any at all in a house.

If it didn't save that much money to begin with, why would businesses bother having them installed in the first place?

If you were in Henderson, Nevada than it probably was. And that is nothing compared to what they do to the actual toilet.

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

A good reason? I don't have one.

The real reason? This is America. Nobody cares about the environment. We say we do, but not really. Where I'm from, people feel like they're doing a good job just by recycling cans and bottles... on occasion.

Why do Californians recycle, for example? Well, because the local governments issued recycle bins - not because the majority of the population was already doing it.

American response to this thread: "Peh, because I have a toilet. Idiot."

In a business it saves a lot more money due to how many more people use them when compared to a house.

Who here is comfortable pooping in public places? I hate it. I will hold it no matter how bad I need to go but I don't mind peeing so the urinal is very convenient. Also another reason for the urinal being good at public places it most likely some fat kid is taking a dump.

And?

Yes there will be less benefit compared to a business but there is still benefit to the household and a significant benefit to the city, state, and nation if every male person uses a urinal for pee.

You misunderstand why places have urinals.

Urinals are messier than regular toilets, and urinal cakes are nasty.

They use urinal cakes in public restrooms to cut down on the smell due to high usage.

A urinal in your home wouldn't get the same traffic as the urinal at LAX.
That's what you think....

I persist too long after my own defeat,
Yet I still press forward, staggering on my feet.
But I know that my resolution will be my end.
And once I fall, I shall ruefully transcend.

Yes. Of course.

You can urinate in a toilet too, therefore the urinal be pointless.

I dissent. You can be using a urinal without using more water when eliminating urine. It may be more expensive when first installed, but in the long term, it conserves water.

You don't have 2 diferent buttons on your toilet???

One is full flush for number 2's there other is a watersaving flush for wee.
I think every house hold in Australia has this.

ALSO the ammount of money it would cost to extend my house enough for a urinal have it installed ect would cost more than I'd ever save on water from flushing normally.

The American toilet.

That silver handle is the only control we got. Full bore or nothing.

I won't doubt that it wouldn't save money for every family, but over the life of the house it would probably pay for itself.

At the very least new homes could require a urinal to be included in the design.
